Is killing the servants quarter bosses repeatedly by clearing the trash over and over considered an exploit?
People in my guild are worried it might be breaking the rules but it seems like it’s been the design of the area from the beginning. Would love to know from a blue if it’s fine.

The bosses reset?
I haven’t really heard of anyone bothering to kill them, so idk
If you keep killing trash they will keep spawning.
I would imagine that’s a bannable exploit if they continue to drop items
They continue to drop items, but have a 30 minute respawn timer.
The reason it’s in question is because it’s been this way since 2008:
It’s perfectly fine.
They don’t give you a lockout and to be real here the loot the boss drops is pretty trash.

You have like a one on a thousand chance for it to drop shadow, fire or arcane damage and cloth. But hey, if you want to waste your time killing that garbage over and over, have at it as far as I’m concerned.
Not really an exploit when you’re just as likely to get absolute garbage as you are something thats meh. None of the drops are particularly amazing in any capacity unless you want some resistance gear.
some of it’s really nice, but the chance that you’ll get a drop with the proper roll is so small as to make it not worth it to farm imho
I think the only one that’s good is the shadow item
Right but the big question is:
Is it just an old exploit that never got fixed because no one did the servants quarter, or is it the design of the place to keep spawning bosses?
I wouldn’t say no to Glider’s Boots of the Tiger. Seem comparable to Edgewalkers if you’re trying to drop hit. I’m just never going to plan on getting them because the chance of them dropping is effectively 0 lol
I mean does it really matter?
The boss doesn’t give you a lockout and he’s more just kind of a rare spawn.
And the loot is garbage.
It matters if farming it all day for the heck of it will get you a ban when you’ve killed them like 20 times.
Yeah I’m sure blizzard cares how much of the owl gear you get.

Back in the day SSC was already released for people to focus on, as of now we have BiS people who are bored and will go “sure why not” for a chance at shadow wrath bracers or nature protection belt
Edit: it’s one thing to say its fine to do it like three times one afternoon, and then another to start getting random pugs from LFG and doing it on repeat all day
No one can answer this for you because blizzard has never gone on record.
I don’t know what you’re asking for?
There was post about this through phase one and so far no blue as commented about it and no one has commented about being banned for it.
The items are trash and the boss doesn’t give you a lockout.
I helped a shadow priest in my former guild farm this. The “boss” is tagged as a rare elite so there is no lockout, but I can tell you the chance for them to drop anything worthwhile is so so so small that it’s actually a complete waste of time compared to just farming some random thing out in the real world. The converted gold per hour difference would afford you equipment of equal value at ten times the rate, and probably an equal value in void crystals.
It’s a garbage farm. Even if a single person was multiboxing it, it’s still a garbage farm.
Right but whether or not its good isn’t really the question, do people think it’s the design of the instance or is this an exploit?
