So I will start out with 2 characters. A priest (my main), and my alternate. When I’m not grouped up with buddies, I want to run my alt. My alt will be my “gold getter” for my other characters. The question is, what race/class would be the best for this? Way back when I played WoW more, just before BC, I had a level 60 Dwarven Rogue, that was my gold farmer. Was that the best choice? I know a lot will depend on gear, but that aside, which kills faster with the less downtime? Thanks in advance!
A hunter would probably be the quickest/easiest to level. Dwarfs have + gun skill.
Mage will aoe farm better. And travel fast.
Hunters can clear dungeons on their own well.
Rogues can pick pocket and open locked boxes.
How do you want to make your gold?

Level Hunter to lvl10 for pet. Take skinning & Leather working. Level until you can make embossed leather vest.
Take Tailor & Enchanting on priest.
Send all cloth and crafted green gear from leatherworking to priest. Use cloth to craft more green gear. Disenchant/enchant to level 45 enchanting and craft your wand for priest. Then focus on crafting bags.
