I wish getting the elite versions of the gear was easier to do, given it’s gonna be 3 expansions old at this point when TWW drops. I would love the night elf and forsaken themed stuff to use, cause while i enjoy their heritage armors, i want more thematic appearances, like for example the Moon Priest cloth for my night elf priest, while the Plaguebringer set i want for my undead priest to give her a plague doctor vibe (who better to heal you than a plague doctor XD)
I would love to get that moon priest cloth robe set, it’s been on my favorites list forever, but I don’t even know where to start with warfronts. That must’ve been when I was taking a break from the game. I still admire it and would love to get it one day!
It’s just silly they haven’t put these items on the vendor.
YES! Do this! At this point, they should just do it for the Elite versions of the armors. They could keep the normal versions as drops from the rares in the two zones, but let us buy the Elite versions with the War Resources off a vendor.
It would still incentivize some form of grinding, but I don’t mind going out to get War Resources.
More likely to put the normal appearances on a vendor and keep the elite versions in the warfronts themselves. That is incentive.
It was their attempt at making a elite set obtainable outside of traditional pvp. I doubt it will be made easier.
Would be fine if they made it solo queue though.
Heck. Make it so you don’t get duplicate pieces as well if you still have to farm for them. Cause I’ve heard stories of people missing one piece of the set and instead of getting it, for weeks on end they’d get duplicates of the other pieces
Gahhhh!!!
My Undead Warlock feels this so so much.
Is only missing a couple peices to the set.
If you could do it every day for a chance at drops while the war front is active that would be plenty to get them done. But you can only get gear from them the first run. That restriction makes no sense whatsoever NOW. And needs to be gone.
I was so glad I got these apearances for all the armour classes I play while it was current content. Some of these sets are still the best for certain classes to this day. The alliance arathi plate set for example is still far better looking than the human heritage armour set.
I think they did nerf the requirements to get the queue to pop by reducing it down to 5 or 10 (i forget) people instead of the original 25? that you needed. That being said, the nerf was pointless since you’re never gonna get 4-9 other players to help you. These mogs are basically perma blocked to anyone who didn’t already get them.
Equally stupid is the fact that the legion invasion scenarios (which is even older content) still for some unfathomable reason, requires 3 people for the queue to pop. And these scenarios have at least a doezen unique weapon mogs trapped inside them that cannot be obtained anywhere else (also gated behind extreme low drop rate rng). I’m not talking about recolours either. They’re legit new mogs that cannot be obtained anywhere else.
I hope they add Warfronts to Timewalking whenever BFA Timewalking is released, as that should make it more likely to find groups for Warfronts those weeks.
And i hate this. The fact i’m basically locked out of these is frustrating. And i’m not a pvp person so i dont want to grind however many marks or whatever it is to buy the pvp versions… ![]()
Heck, last time i queued for one, i had been queued for it for like 3 hours and not a single pop
I don’t think there are pvp versions. There might be pvp versions of the non-elite variant but I’m not aware of recolours of the elite version. I could be wrong though.
There are recolors called Sinister Aspirant and Sinister Gladiator, and they have the same model as the elite, just in different colors (like gold and blue, and silver and purple for the Darkshore night elf for example)
Not sure if they are PvP, but in my experience anything named that way, especially containing the word Gladiator, it’s typically PvP armor and weapons.
why is this feature still not solo queueable? I think it is time…
I completely understand your frustration with the difficulty of obtaining elite versions of gear, especially as they become several expansions old with the release of TWW. It seems like an unnecessary hurdle for players who want to experience the full breadth of the game’s aesthetic offerings, particularly when these sets have such unique and desirable looks.
The appeal of Night Elf and Forsaken-themed gear is undeniable, and it’s clear why you’d want to have more thematic options for your characters.
The heritage armors for Night Elves and Forsaken are indeed impressive, but there’s something particularly special about having a broader range of gear that reflects the rich lore and distinct cultures of these races.
For instance, the Moon Priest cloth set for a Night Elf priest perfectly captures the mystical and serene nature of the Night Elf society. This set would enhance the role-playing experience, allowing players to feel more connected to their characters and the world they inhabit.
The elegant, celestial motifs of the Moon Priest set would make any Night Elf priest look like a true guardian of Elune, bringing the character’s story and background to life in a visually stunning way.
On the other hand, the Plaguebringer set for an Undead priest offers an equally compelling aesthetic, fitting seamlessly with the dark and macabre vibe of the Forsaken. Imagining an Undead priest in a plague doctor outfit, ready to heal with a sinister flair, is incredibly fitting.
The plague doctor motif not only looks cool but also adds depth to the character’s backstory. Who better to deal with diseases and healing than someone who embodies the very essence of plague and decay? It’s this kind of thematic coherence that makes the game more immersive and enjoyable.
It’s a bit perplexing why Blizzard hasn’t made these older elite sets more accessible, given how much players appreciate them. Perhaps reintroducing these sets through special events, achievement rewards, or in-game vendors could be a solution.
By doing so, Blizzard would acknowledge the community’s desire to access these unique appearances and keep the game’s visual diversity fresh and engaging.
Older gear sets don’t have to remain locked away just because newer expansions have come out. Allowing players to obtain these sets could rejuvenate interest in various game activities and provide a rewarding goal for both new and returning players.
Moreover, making these older sets available would help maintain a vibrant and diverse visual environment in the game.
Players often spend a lot of time customizing their characters, and having a wide range of gear to choose from is a significant part of that process.
By opening up access to these older elite sets, Blizzard would be supporting the creative expression of its player base, allowing everyone to craft the perfect look for their characters without feeling like they missed out on opportunities from previous expansions.
I think many players would appreciate if Blizzard took steps to make obtaining these elite gear sets more feasible. This change would not only satisfy long-time players who missed out on these items the first time around but also add an extra layer of enjoyment for those who love to immerse themselves in the game’s lore and aesthetics.
Rallying support on forums and feedback channels might help highlight how much the community values these options, potentially prompting Blizzard to consider these suggestions seriously.
While the current system makes obtaining older elite gear challenging, there’s a strong case to be made for making these items more accessible. It would enhance the game for many players, offering more thematic and visually appealing options to suit their characters’ stories.
Hopefully, with enough community support, Blizzard will recognize the value in this and make the necessary adjustments to enrich the game’s overall experience.
The elite versions from pvp look the same but with a slight different tint. Like on plate one of them has golden lions on shoulder the other are white.
Wait. Was that the rated PvP set you can’t get anymore? If so, that would explain why I didn’t know about it since I don’t do rated.
Yes the warfront elite set is a recolor of the elite pvp set.
because the mechanics of the warfront require you to be in multiple places at the same time
