Farming Covenant Mounts in 9.1.5

So there are obviously bunch of mounts that only drop if you are that covenant. Theoretically I can farm every covenants Mount tomorrow in Korthia and their home zone on one toon per day couldn’t I?

If you have renown 80 on 1 character you can switch your characters and farm all 4 every day if you wish.

Of course you have to be renown 80 with the associated covenant to be able to use the mount while not a member.

So to use the cross covenant mounts, we have to be 80 Renown with every covenant whose mount we wish to use? Is it the same for transmogs etc.?

Yep. Hit renown 80 on a character in a Covenant, all cosmetics and mounts and toys and illusions should become account wide.

Yep. Exactly. As long as 80 you get all the cosmetic perks.

But you so have to do the covenant quest line to unlock the transmog. Thats still a thing. But you need to grind that renown anyway. And its 9 renown on top of the 40 from the token

As of this weekend I have one character who has completed each of the four covenant campaigns - so time to farm some Renown on each! I know I can just swap but since I’ve got one character in each covenant I probably won’t bother.

Only if you want the different 9.0 Covenant sets, right? The rest are just renown requirements, I think? Which you can hit 40 renown with the new alt token thing tomorrow.

I should make a list so we all know.

Keep in mind the 9.0 armor sets are armor type specific.

Agreed. At this point that’s not a concern for me although you are definitely correct. Still got a slew of alts to level, after all :slight_smile:

Correct. Only if you want those armor type specific sets. The other 9.1 sets are renown gated.

Swap, get the 40 renown token and then get the next 40. Then switch again if you wish. Just thinking the 9 covenant quests is an easy start.

There are also some lower breakpoints you need before you can even farm them, like needing a certain renown level to farm Tahonta, or having the anima channelled to the theatre of pain before Sabrial will even drop the mount for you.

Basically you want 80 renown just to be safe and to channel the conductor to each area you are wanting to farm, and in 9.1.5 you can channel multiple per day, so just change covenant, channel your renown and go around killing all the rares in that zone.

Than rinse and repeat for all other covenants.

Or you can just farm the Grateful Offering and some anima and buy the mounts, much easier than farming them from the rares.

80 on ANY character?

Piddy is 80 with Kyrian, I will be 80 soon with Necrolord and Venthyr on two alts.

So, does Piddy have to switch covenants and ding 80 to use Necro or Venthyr cosmetics? Or does she get them when the others ding 80?

For Piddy to use any other covenant cosmetic, Piddy must be 80 renown with them.
