If you’re trying to boost your hph please follow this one pro tip, I have nearly increased my hph by 50% following this advice. These guys are basically trash mobs in the midst of team clashes.

Yeah, I have a r12 mage, r12 ele shaman, and working on a boomkin
I spent 2500g on ZG rep on my mage and I am full bis. Just tested the 5/5 zg frost spec. Also dog poop. Ice lance crits for 500. My ele shaman dot ticks for almost as much. My boomkin dots tick for more, and i crit people for 4k on boomkin. 1800 on shaman.
I have 4x r13 mages in vanilla and era and now sod. Mage is so dog poop it sucks to log on and play it. After I get r13 im quitting it

Their durability is horrible they either need an evasion that also works vs ranged attacks or a frenzied regen like heal. I farm them for honor but it’s disturbing how underpowered they are compared to any other class in bgs.
Honestly theres not much reason to play mage right now.
I was so excited for this set bonus. Got it on sunday, tried it instantly. logged out right after

I mean its ok in bgs, still outclassed by everything else, but does decent dmg. critting in bgs for 1800 spellfrost bolt and 500 dmg ice lance. tbh barrage is better no matter what spec u r

Mages are healers in BG.

Also not attacking you but having 1000 rank 13 mages doesn’t make you great at mage
i am great at mage tho, i promise. pretty undeniable how bad they are right now. I can log on a boomkin or ele and just be a god

All boomkins got a lot better at pvp this phase, they must have all watched the same guide.

I would’ve said warriors but the 2H rage generation buff via Frenzied Assault and Fresh Meat working with Mortal Strike now has made a noticeable difference in PVP even if marginal. I’d put warriors just above mages now.
