Since we’re now 1 week away from the new patch, new zone, new content, ect. I wanted to say a proper goodbye to the amazing zone and content Undermine brought us ever since late February.
This zone is to me one of my favorite zones in the entire game from how much life-like it is. It is beautiful in it’s reality really. The houses, the streets, the population, even the Galagio! It’s like stuff we can relate to, making it feel more like home in my opinion. An amazing soundtrack that’s not annoying, not depressive, just right.
D.R.I.V.E. was an amazing way of travel and is something I’m really, really sad to see go. I wish it could be a system that’s being added as a regular feature just for the G-99 Breakneck and call it a day. Driving around in zones, drifting around, creating races everywhere would be so much fun!
The side quests were probably some of the best side stories I’ve ever seen in all my years of playing this game. Fun, comical, enjoyable overall and most importantly, worth doing. The cartels being divided was really cool, although quite annoying to rep grind, if it wasn’t from the 100% bonus I’d still not even have a singular cartel maxed. Darkfuse was also a pain for sure and not fun to grind tho, and Miscellaneous Mechanica is the worst “currency” I’ve ever seen. But aside from that, it was really cool.
So after these many months of loving the patch and its content, I just want to say…
Farewell, Undermine.

Man, it’s been a while! Is that a particularly long major patch? It feels like it. But also because I went on a break shortly after it launch and have only been back a few weeks it’s felt super quick!
I think I’m going to be there for a while depending on RNG. Haven’t gotten all the paragon mounts yet.

City was great. Urban landscape in a fantasy setting is always interesting.
The grinds inside of it sucked.
Sucks that we spent so little time inside the casino. Using the city as the raid was a cop out. Still a decent raid.
Honestly never understood the hate. We don’t get Elves for one patch and suddenly it’s an issue.

I enjoyed undermine. I’ll still be popping back to head into Sluice for the fastest 11s.
A sports car belongs on highways and open plains, not in this trash-filled, overcrowded city.
I’d rather spend an entire expansion in Tanaris or Stranglethorn Vale than stay in Undermine.
I have mild claustrophobia—I’ve had enough of being underground. How many expansions are we supposed to spend in tunnels?
What is wrong with engineers anyway? Are they obsessed with cave exploration or what?

So the undermine cars were valid for undermine only or do they get a comeback?
Honestly on long roads like in The Barrens and Stranglethorn they would make much more sense than in Undermine especially for alts that can’t fly yet.

Nver really got into undermine. Didn’t even finish all the quests. I found the quests to be the same old same old. Go kill something and come back for a minimum reward. Too crowded. Minibosses were boring once you got good gear. The factions were boring, never bothered to sign up for contracts.
I will probably go back some day and finish the quests just to say I did them, but I am so ready to move on.
Best zone they’ve had in a while.

It’s not a permanent good riddance still have to go there for delves now and then.

skipped most of this patch. dropped in january, came back late june i think. ran my main through undermine and hated every second of it. awful music, drive was annoying (oh look i get clipped on this arbitrary object, but not on this arbitrary object), and the whole aesthetic was yuck. only been there on alts if a delve or something i needed to complete was there.
