What. the. actual. hell.
How do we even get scrying stones? I’ve scoured every face of the internet for the answer, and mainly it’s killing rares. I have done this for 2 days, and in about 15 rares (they die fast, even in war mode), nada. I have swapped to alts to try, as well as doing the Medivh’s Laboratory gimmick. It actually feels impossible, and I’m looking for any sense of direction at this point. TIA.
They drop from rares and the special summon at mardus’ lab. Low drop rate, but they do drop.
You can also just bring new alts to nazjatar and do the intro quest to teach you how to scry, the reward is a srcying stone.
I believe, if its ypur first time in Nazjatar. You will need to do the intro questline that teaches you what/ scrying orbs do.
Afterwards the can be looted from chests, rares at a reduced rate, i think there was one other source. I cant recall currently. Ill update if I do.
Thanks for the information. I have done all these things, and I suppose I will just do the Scrying Stone quests on my alts to get 1 scrying stone. lol. I have killed countless of rares at no avail. Thank you!
There are hidden chests around the zone. Some are static, in the same place for everyone. As they part of an achievement.
Others are random.
If you follow the criteria to open those static chests from locations on wowhead comments. You will get at least 1 scrying orb. I think you get a few. Its been years since I finished out there.
Yes, any alts that havent been to Nazjatar will need to do the short intro chain to get introduced to your respective faction and then pick up the quest to learn how scrying works which will one time reward you with a stone, after that it’s RNG on kills and chests
