Why is fangs of the father daggers set bonus inactive for being legacy and warglaives of azzinoth set bonus working normally since its older and “legacier” then fangs of father? Warglaives of azzinoth works even out of timewalking, while fangs of the father do not work even IN timewalking. There is no coherency. What’s the point? So unfair. Actually it is the only legendary item “inactive”/useless in low level or timewalking instance.
They probably thought its effect was super OP, even disabling it for Timewalking content.
Raddon’s Cascading Eyes was nerfed because it was OP for said content.
But a nerf would be completely OK. We put too much effort and time getting it and part of the fun in timewalking is using old fun gear. That said warglaives are very OP for bc tw too, and pandaria legendary cloaks? It do alone 50% of wearers damage. Instead of giving unlimited combo points for 6s it could be reduced to 2s or decrease the proc chance. Soooo many options but they preferred the only unfair one.
“set bonus inactive” Is such a load of BS all because we have developers that don’t want to balance anything other then their bank balance.
Smashing legacy content with an assortment of gear and equip effects was fun. Blizz won’t stand for that.

No, it’s because Paladins were using past expansion tier sets in Hellfire Citadel and stacking them with WoD tier bonuses to get pretty much barely any CD Lay on Hands.
I understand a lot of people weren’t here in WoD, but they should at least know that much, lol.
EDIT: In other words, the issue wasn’t legacy content/timewalking, it was the fact people were using past expansion tier set bonuses in current raids.

But Warglaives of Azzinoth isn’t “legacy” inactive, and still a set bonus from burning crusade content.
Besides, it wouldn’t be difficult to let legacy set bonuses to be active only in timewalking or while at it level range, like Legiondaries or MoP trinkets (with this one we see the solution for this problem already existed even before the problem).
Another option would be let ONLY the legendaries daggers keep it’s effect. Wouldn’t be the only exception for the legacy set bonus rule since warglaive of azzinoth is this exception (would be two exceptions). And in the other hand, Fangs of the Father woudn’t be the only one legendary useless even in it’s level or timewalking.

It seems like this, honestly. When timewalking was launching, they said it was supposed to let us get back our old stashed gear, mix stuff and have fun doing previous re-scaled content. Was genuinely fun do that mixing 2-4 parts of old sets from cataclysm, mop, leggos and stuff. Now we can still use our legendaries (not my fangs of fathers, of course) but that’s all. Still quite a fun, but there’s just no point doing this long long long quest line to get these daggers since we can’t even play around like a kid with brand new toy killing 10 critters with full points evenom in 6s.
Are the fangs not available for transmog?
Easy solution: bonus don’t work if wearer is x+ lvl
