Anyone out there planning to run a guild for families? I have 2 kids 9 and 12 that would love to play with me. We don’t need a guild, but it might be more fun with other families.
RP would cool, but certainly not essential.

Yeah it’s called create your own guild.
The online interactions from wow would make it NC-17 or worse. Yea, making your own small close nit guild is your best direction if you’re planning on gaming with a 9 year old.
sorry to break it to you, but a 9 year old wont’ survive classic. The moment I find out there’s a 9 year old on my server i’m black listing them from everything.
@Bootzz that’s just silly. I agree they probably shouldn’t be there based on sensitivity/content, but every kid is different and if supervised and competent there shouldn’t really be any way to know unless they speak on discord. If anything they may have a lot more time and energy to devote to the game.
I am sure many are as capable or more so than I. My issue is not being able to have adult conversations that often occur in guild chat. One guild I was in had a child that played at times with us and we all had to watch our Ps and Qs. Since it was the GL’s child, we abided but I don’t want to deal with that again as this is my down time. Not that I want anything racy or political but shooting the turd is bonding.
The content in WoW is, for the most part, less of a concern than most family movies in my opinion.
I am not planning on raiding with them haha. So I don’t think anyone will have to worry about my son missing a clutch heal. But if you dislike the idea of children playing with you, I would be happy if you black listed them.
This is exactly why I was looking for a guild specifically for this. I am not looking to force this one anyone.
I just thought there must be other parents out there that would like to have a fun family friendly guild to play with their kids. If not, no trouble, I will happily
play just the 3 of us.
Hi, I would like to introduce Bourbon Raiders. We are a casual Family-oriented guild recruiting for classic. Our guild website is: bourbonraiders.guildlaunch.(com). If interested, you can reach me on my battle tag: Breakout#1905, or on Discord: Algammon#1375
Guilds are one thing; Trade/General chat is another.
/leave 1
/leave 2
WoW is not a place for a 9 year old kid.
I don’t recall, does this leave /1 for every zone, or do you need to do it for every individual zone?
Respectfully disagree. there were people playing back in the day starting out that young.
Sometimes, it’s not about surviving but the experience. I was 9 when I first played… I still remember the first time I ran down the path towards Goldshire like it was yesterday… So vividly too. I was in awe looking at all the night time Christmas decorations… That being said I was probably the worst player in existence and it took me probably a year until I hit level 48.
It has been a super cool place for my kids. We go on adventures together in Azeroth (and in real life!). It is like playing D&D, but you get to run around in the world.
Maybe your WoW experience isn’t for 9 year olds, but the way we play, it is.
I think that’s safer for the child…
This exactly. We are playing a story we get to make up as we go.
This leaves for all zones as far as I am aware. I do this on all my toons for trade chat anyway lol.
When I think family-oriented, I think bourbon…
That is a reflection on their parents, not them. WoW is rated T-teen for a reason.
