False reporting and automated ban

I still want a GM review and not an automated system dictated by the Players.

Why not? If you’re having MULTIPLE people reporting you, you’re clearly doing something that you shouldn’t be.

Mellga, I’m just curious as to why you liked this post.

Please don’t contribute to Mogar’s intentional spread of misinformation. I spend enough of my time trying to combat these falsities.

2 people are multiple people.

I guess Peter and his only friend reporting me for telling a Chuck Norris joke means I must be doing something I shouldn’t be doing even though the other 50 or more people in the same zone do not think I am.

No because there are Players more interested in punishing Players rather than putting them on ignore. I’ve been a part of this Thread, for awhile. I’ve conversed with these players that report, more than I ever have, in the 10 years that I’ve played this game. Their reasons have nothing to do with Blizzard Policy but Authoritarianism.

I found the line “Cata isn’t Vanilla” humorous. It made me giggle. That, and I can Heart what I want. I don’t have to answer to you

You’re not interested in facts and the truth then, unfortunate. I guess it’s a symptom of the times, people really put feelings before facts.

I never said that. Don’t put words in my mouth, that I never said. I can Heart whatever I want to Heart. My Hearts are not reserved strictly for “Truth and Facts”. It can be something I found funny, a Poster I like, wanting to send positive energy, etc. I can Heart for whatever reason I want to. You don’t dictate my Hearts nor insinuate a false narrative. Please and thank you.

EDIT: Just for that, I Hearted Ziryus, even though I disagree with them, but I want to remain Positive. Thank you.

EDIT 2: That, and the statement “Cata isn’t Vanilla” hit home, for me. Because I, personally, HATED Cata, so it gets a Heart, from me. Cata can burn in hell.

You liked his post because you felt this was humerous:

Even though the bulk of that post was blatant misinformation:

Feelings before facts.

I didn’t say you couldn’t like what you wanted to, but I politely asked you if you could refrain from liking posts with blatant misinformation. It’s completely your prerogative, of course.

I hope you understand that it’s frustrating to see blatant misinformation that has been categorically refuted, being spread and those posts being liked.

And where’s the evidence of that? Watch Asmongold’s video about him getting squelched for saying ‘I love Warcraft’. He traces it back to 2011. But even if you were right…2.1.0 isn’t Vanilla either. And people being unaware of a system they could abuse doesn’t change the fact that people are very aware of it nowadays and will make use of it.

Yes and:

So?

Again, my Hearts isn’t reserved for “Truth & Facts”. I can Heart, what I want. And the only thing you asked was “why I Hearted it”, and you insulted me with this:

You asked me to not “contribute”, and I’m not. He’s free to say what he wants. I’ll gladly join you, with spreading truth, like I have been, this entire time, with my Posts.

So what it comes down to in the end is you just don’t want moderation.

GM review doesn’t equate to “no moderation”.

Except we already know how well that system didn’t work.

You keep saying that, but I don’t agree, sorry.

How does wanting any punitive action to be in BLIZZARD’S hands and not the hands of the players equate to not wanting moderation?

Do you think it is acceptable for players to suffer an unwarranted player imposed punishment?

Considering how uncommon it is vs how common chat channels being abused was, yes it’s fine.

Considering how anti-vanilla it is, your preference that players suffer an unwarranted player imposed punishment does not surprise me.

Having to listen to people troll chat channels is also a player imposed punishment.

Yeah people should just ignore people if they don’t like what they hear
