would anyone like to see faction ratios posted? I would, I am unable to quest in stv, desolace, and arathi because of overwhelming horde… all I can do is grind in a friendly zone like duskwood but sadly i’ve outleveled the “friendly” zones. Idk if laying is imbalanced or not or the server is 70H/30A. id like to know if any other alliance players are having the same GAME RUINING issue.
for the alliance, kegslayer
Someone said it is average 2:1 horde to alliance overall across all servers based on some census addon. While individual servers may have different ratios, that is the way things are basically going to be.
Believe me, it may suck now… but when it comes time when end level is here and bgs are opened up you’ll be glad you stayed alliance. Your bg ques are nonexistent and premades will be SUPER steamrolling through bgs because you’re waaay more likely to hit a random pug than the horde will have.

According to the census data for Fairbanks (https://wowpop.appspot.com/realms/fairbanks
), the population is about 4:3 Horde to Alliance. Not exactly balanced, but not terrible either.
Rumour has it that a lot of the Alliance are levelling in dungeons to avoid WPvP. There’s also been some discussion on r/FairbanksClassic that suggests it’s layering-related.
Also WTF is the point of allowing markup to include links, but then not letting you include links?

You chose to roll on a PvP server. If it’s game ruining, you did it to yourself.

We’re seeing a retail-like scenario in which Horde has bigger numbers on PvP servers while Alliance are more prevalent on PvE servers. That being said, the ratios aren’t as bad on PvP servers though they may feel that way with wPvP interfering with leveling. The ratios on PvE servers tend to be worse with Alliance really outnumbering Horde, with the exception of Mankrik, which still boasts sizeable populations on both sides.
The balance is atrocious on this server. Questing is borderline impossible in many zones, with what seems to be an average of a 4:1 ratio. There were around 30 horde inside SM today for example, not raiding, just waiting for group members. I’m all for PvP and figured Horde would be more popular but it’s a noticeable problem. I didn’t google “Fairbanks faction imbalance” and find this thread by happenstance.

You’re on kalimdor, gtfo alliance scum!!!
Yeah I realize that I was just mentioning it because I had never seen it like this in my life. But there’s also STV, Desolace, and Arathi Highlands all being imbalanced. Hillsbrad Foothills has been the only zone I’ve quested in with seemingly balanced and fun world PvP.
Honestly, it hasn’t been so bad. Make sure you group with at least one other person and you’ll be alright. Horde only attack when they outnumber or grossly outlevel you.
