Instead of outright separating the queues how about this.
When you join solo queue you start a list of everyone on the other team who has joined as a group and can’t be matched against them for say 24 hours. This wouldn’t outright prevent pug vs premade matches but full pug teams would quickly find themselves not matched against the currently queuing premade teams. As 10 people solo queuing would build up a list pretty quickly of premades they can’t be matched against again for awhile.
We got the 1.12 Honor system. So premades vs pugs are here to stay. If you wanted an upgraded PVP system, go to retail. Warts and all
Blizzard has been more than willing to make changes to the queuing system already to address problems.

Premade should vs Premade only. Or implement the MMR system like overwatch. Premade need to match up with higher MMR players.

If the premade consists of a ratio that is greater than 2:1 odds of the people grouped they are up against - the premade is forced to spin in circles for no less than 60 seconds before stumbling out of the gates.
The only people that don’t want premades vs premades are the people farming pugs.

I get the distinct feeling balancing BGs for premade vs premade comps during the start of a major lull in the games playerbase is on the priority list.

The only players who say “its fine for solo players to face premades” are the members of premade groups who love to stomp on pugs.
You dont want fair fights but easy wins or else you will have a long long grind for your rank 14.

Nope as you said if it has MMR there’s even more reason solo queue should give the same rewards as premading.
At that point you can’t even hide behind trying to pretend premades are better.
With MMR, pieces have rating instead of rank. You’d be able to get nothing. What you’re advocating for is the removal of the rank 14 system entirely. Then, MMR could be used just to get it more quickly than others. But the rank system is not leaving classic. Get over it.

Dont worry I have seen Marshals AFKing in BG’s because they had to do pvp but their premades were not online and they really dont wanted to put in effort to fight in pug teams. You know if you are a Marshal this is bellow you so you just AFK next to a flag.
