So i made another toon. brought it to around 8ish. and suicided on purpose. just to see if this mechanic existed.
I was kind of hoping it did, as I wanted to level on HC just to see how far i make it and if i can. However, raiding in HC i’m quite unlikely to do. Wouldn’t have minded the option to move that HC toon to SC, and a nice fancy suicidal scenario to commemorate hitting 60 HC seemed like a great way to do so. But alas it seems this isn’t to be the case :(.

that it does. well that makes things more interesting. i can level but not be worried about the late game prospects. though I wonder how long that will remain free.
Probably as long as the HC servers stay up. It is an tntegrated part of Blizz’s HC-concept, and they won’t risk people leaving over “loosing” characters.

Not sure what you mean it doesn’t work. Currently the HC ERA servers can transfer to all ERA servers., with the exception of between the actual HC servers. For the Fresh HC server it can transfer only to the Fresh normal server, not the Fresh PvP server.
To do this, purchase the free transfer at the shop, it will work at anytime, you don’t have to die, you can be alive. Occasionally the transfer will fail, not sure why, but if it does just simply submit the transfer again and it should go through.
