Trying to reinstall WoW and neither that nor the Battle.net will download, the exe just stops at around 61% and then says “Network Error”. I tried different Browesers and reinstalling Chrome but nothing. Any suggestions?

This is typically some kind of networking problem restricting the download. Can you try another network like a mobile hotspot or free VPN?
Im having the same problem, cant download the game
My app says there is an update but when I try updating I get BLZBNTAGT00000840 error code and it tells me to try again later.

I’m having the same issue. I’m trying to download the game onto a new computer and at the halfway point it just stops. Your advice suggesting another network doesn’t make sense to me? Do you mean, Ieave my home to use someone else’s? Is there no other solution? Please help!

Generally this means tethering to your cell phone data plan, if possible.
Man, I am having the same exact problem.
I had several friends in different parts of the US also try to download wow and or bnet files and they ran into the same exact issue.
It is not client side
EDIT-I also had one of these same friends who downloading from blizz also failed for, found his bnet installer and sent it to me. From which i downloaded and installed fine. And am currently installing WoW again.
Again, this is not client side
So the moral to the story…to play blizz games download the installers from anyone but blizz
Zenlaka…If you would have taken the 40 or so seconds it takes to attempt to download this file, you probably would have seen it to, but thanks for your robotic and completely useless response
Works fine for us, both from my work connection and at my home PC I have no problems. The reason we recommend troubleshooting is because it frequently works to fix issues. Since not everybody has a friend who has already downloaded the app that they can take the data from, we work on the premise that people need work arounds that they can do on their own.
If you get “Failed - network error” when trying to download an installer file from our website, please try disconnecting your phone from your wifi and using it as a mobile tether. If you don’t have this option, you can try downloading a VPN. The file from the website is only a couple MB so you shouldn’t eat much data on your phone or a limited free VPN. This specific error usually happens when there’s something blocking connections to our Blizzard download services on the website, but once you get the app installed, other games will usually install fine.

I’ve also since asked guildies to just attempt it has failed for most of them also.
