Take the opportunity to learn a new language. It’s fun to learn and I guarantee that many of those players would teach you (because many of them speak 2 or more languages).

Why don’t you ask someone from say Brazil and tell them their language is no different than Spanish or tell someone from Spain Portuguese and Spanish are the same thing… I think you’ll find they won’t agree and will be pretty vocal about it.
