Faerin vs Xal’atath cgi model

well faerin looks cool and stoic and xal’atath looks cool and scary. i am not a fan of scary so i say faerin, but xal’s high def is amazing

So Blizzard had to include a new diversity pick to add to the cast. Fine whatever. But they sure made it as ugly, derivative and boring looking as humanly possible. Didn’t even make it make sense, she doesn’t look related to Lothar AT ALL. It’s insulting to black people.

She’s not related to Lothar, just has the name Lothar. :microscope::robot:

…if she is a Lothar, the chance there’s a death flag rising for Anduin’s development. :8ball::robot:

Just reminds me of the Na’vi from Avatar.

sounds to me like wrathion has a new friend. she thinks dragons grant wishes so she’s already primed for smooth talking wrathion. it could be great fun

Who the hell is the one armed lady?

an arathi half elf named faerin lothar

Yes, it is insulting. I’m taking bets that she’ll be a lesbian too since they love diversity stacking on black women in movies and games. This is why I don’t get excited when companies talk about representaion.

Who we never heard of until now? Why is this person important?

That’s not the real reason you should feel that way. You should feel that way cause they see them as a product to be sold. NOT as a person. Play Cyberpunk 2077 and you’ll see what I mean. In Cyberpunk the corporations don’t really care about race, gender, sexuality anymore. They care about selling a person as a thing.

Not every character is a suddenly appearing relative of a central role that one has never heard of before.

Why would we? We’ve never met the arathi before.

What on earth does that mean?

we are being introduced to the arathi, who apparently…well spoilers …. are from a massiVe continent on the other side of azeroth, and it has an emperor…human. they are light worshippers

She is one of the “lamp lighters” that introduce us to her people. She is from the light empire that formed over 1,000 years ago, when the arathi people and high elves took to the seas.

15 years prior to us showing up than a small expedition from that light empire was transported underground. We meet the survivors of the expedition.

Orweyna is rocking those warbear woolies and is the clear winner of this CGI.
Probably what Xalatath was smirking at in the previous video to be honest.

If you look hard enough you’ll find the reasons.

Lazy storywriting. So yet another group of people we haven’t met yet hidden away? Is that like the defacto for any new expansion stuff now?

Orweyna is lovely and I hope we get her hairstyle.

They give her a well-known name because, much like the cinematic, which consists of two-thirds old, cobbled-together clips, they want to play on nostalgia and assign her significance based on a familiar character.

Pretty much.
