Faerin Lothar: Less Shine, More Scars—Make Her Epic

Faerin’s got potential, but she’s too shiny. The “disabled warrior” angle’s cool, but it’s all preachy platitudes—no teeth. Take her dark: next patch, have her lead a squad into a Nerubian hive and get wrecked—team dead, hammer smashed, confidence gone. She crawls out broken, swaps sermons for a jagged blade on her stump, and fights dirty to redeem herself. No Lothar crutch; just raw survival. Endgame? She stalls Xal’atath in a messy last stand, leaving us her busted weapon. Grit over glory—make her a flawed badass we’d die for, not a poster child we roll our eyes at.

She has to play within her strengths - losing more could spell the end for her.

To die and be forgotten, token characters are annoying.

Meh, I’m all for Faerin, and no, it’s not because I’m for any sort of political ideology or people’s rights etc. I just think she’s a legitimately normal character. She isn’t overly OP, I mean sure, she’s skilled with the light, but she hasn’t been pulling God tier feats or making us look like chumps. We aren’t her sidekicks. She’s got a chill personality and has been pleasant to be around, doesn’t lecture us or give snarky orders etc.

She also doesn’t cry about her disability or make that the vocal point of her character. She just seems like a nice girl who worships the light and has some good combat prowess etc, with a unique fighting style. Seems fine to me tbh. I know people will look at my Avatar and think I’m biased, but no, I absolutely hate that girl from Forspoken for example. She was legitimately annoying. Faerin though has been cool in my book.
