Faerin Lothar is ugly and forgettable

I kinda figured it’d be magical. Like she can control where it positions with holy magic, or something to that effect. Good enough for me, tbh. I like when disabled characters get hooked up with neat tools. Witch Hat Atelier still takes the cake, though.

I would say that within the WoW universe, she is indeed by far one of the ugliest human characters… If we include non-human characters, there are even uglier ones.

However, I don’t think she will be a ‘forgettable’ character. On the contrary, the character’s peculiarities will make her memorable for a long time, especially if she remains central to the story.

But it’s strange… comparing her to Diablo 4, that character with almost the same features, Reverend Mother Prava, I find her much more beautiful than this new WoW character… Maybe it’s just a matter of taste.

Yah we’re likely about to see WoW’s quality fall off a cliff like the quality of recent Disney Marvel/Star Wars cratered thanks to putting DEI over everything.

I’m not following that reply chain and how that became a talking point, but Pale Orcs are a thing in WoD and Kargath is kinda like ashey grey so idk if that counts

They recycle the same mary sue girlboss or flawless bipoc character over and over and call you a racist or misogynist if you object to it.

Get the goblins in on a huge business opportunity for skincare for orcs

While I do agree she’s ugly AF (Looks even worse in the CGI, and the model makes it hard to tell if she’s even female in the first place), the worst looking human in the history of WoW, she is definitely not forgettable.

I think the task rain why they weren’t criticized is because they were orcs and also psychopaths which ripped their hand off, just to become a real member of the clan. They had the role of cool going for them while Faerin does not.

For the record her in game model is fine, not nearly as bad as it could have been. CGI though… Blizzard pls

I wouldn’t bother. They usually pop smoke once you call out their bad takes. They should be playing a rogue.

I never imply anything when i want to tell someone " It’s not your game anymore" I will just say it, i am not one to throw “Soft punches” for all the thin skin cry babies here.

Wouldn’t everyone want a magical floating shield then? Can use two weapons while still having a shield lol.

Ngl when I first seen the cinematic I thought she was a dude too.

Not trying to feed into anything, just what I seen until she turned around.

Probably, but they do already exist in the lore. Kael’thas had all sorts of levitating conjured weapons, but we never see other mages do that for some reason.

As long as they don’t “Disneyfy” the game by recreating established characters for DEI.

If Blizz wants to add more diversity in their game, then as long as it makes sense and is a NEW character, then what’s the problem?

Now, if they suddenly made Jaina into a black trans-man… Yeah, that would be stupid and offensive.

This new character has zoomer energy. I was trying to put my finger on it and I figured it out in the shower this morning - she’s an Overwatch character thrust into Warcraft. Those of us who have played Warcraft long enough can “feel” the difference. Some among us struggle to put that feeling into words and get labels thrown at them because they can’t articulate that exact feeling, but they just “know” the character does not have that Warcraft DNA. The character did not start with a basis in Warcraft and be iterated upon, it was thrust into the franchise externally.

This reminds me of posts I’ve seen in the past.

People used to complain about changing the personalities and orientations of existing characters, asking Blizzard to create new, unique characters for diversity rather than touching classic characters.

Now blizzard has created a whole new character from the fabrics of the story and people are still complaining. :dracthyr_nod:

I was thinking the same.
