Faerin class needed

People don’t make fun of her prosthetic shield. They make fun of her lack of a prosthetic arm when they’re available. Kargath’s civilisation didn’t have the tech to make it work.

They are perfectly good reasons that are logical and make sense but that doesn’t mean I understand or relate to them. If I personally lost a limb I would be doing everything I could to replace it. I don’t understand why Faerin doesn’t want it because I can’t imagine not wanting to replace a missing limb. It’s a lack of understanding that stems from my own lack of experience and ignorance.

I was just waxing metaphorical. Paladin, Light, Eternal Flame, The Bangles. You know.

No one knows exactly why Zul’jin didn’t regen his arm. No where is it said that he could but chose not to.

It’s possible that’s the reason, that’s what Vol’jin did. But it’s also possible it was stripped magically when he was tortured by elves in revenge for torturing Lor’themar, or taken from him by the loa, which is also what happened to Vol’jin temporarily.

I find it hard to believe that a leader of trolls attempting to wage war and conquer his enemies would choose not to regen such a valuable part of his body.

No one cared about Zul’jin at the time because it was years before the current laser focus on representation. He was that way because it was cool looking and unique. Faerin is a black, disabled woman for cultural reasons, not narrative.

No one would have cared about Faerin in TBC, either. It was like 2007. Some people are just over the culture war and dimiss obvious virtue signaling.

That was from Freakazoid, the best cartoon ever made

Yeah because warriors who are missing an arm aren’t a tale as old as time

Yeah, without the arm mobility, you might as well just ditch the shield entirely and reinforce the armour on that side.

You’d get pretty much the same benefits with a less awkward weight to throw you off.

Or better yet, reinforce the armour on the weapon side and fight presenting that side forward for better reach.

isn’t she just a paladin? why does she need her own specific class?

Yup, its cliche.

But it’s the combination of black, female blind disabled woman that makes it obvious vurtue signalling. Not the missing arm.

I mean, I don’t care. It doesn’t bother me. I just think it’s funny and don’t take her seriously.

She is. But then they couldn’t complain.

Case in point, it’s just another thing folks can complain about the character.

ah. i see… wait, she’s blind-disabled? i thought she still had one good-working eye? also, i thought she’s a paladin, why does’nt she just ask the light to cure it?

Not quite in the same field but interesting thing is there are people who have a disconnect from limbs on their body. To my understanding everyone has a natural sense of knowing where their limbs are, how they are positioned but with people dealing with this condition it feels like to them a finger isn’t theirs and doesn’t belong on their body.

This can be including entire arms and people are genuinely happier after the limb is separated from them.

This is the freak-a-zoid I’m familiar with

So unless everyone is a middle age white guy it’s obvious virtue signaling?

Like where is the line at? Why even care?

Would it be acceptable to be a one armed, one eyed fat guy with a beer gut?

I mean ffs.

looks at his orc rogue dual wielding blade fists

it’s not?

It’s because she’s a lady. And the internet is still degenerate enough to pretend its not because of that.

How about giving shaman a tank spec? War Within showed us it was possible!
