I died after summoning the Behemoth and using Ring of Peace on it (plus the extra adds from the stairwell) and, upon returning, the Behemoth followed me but didn’t attack me, and it kept evading. It didn’t even put me in combat. I tried dropping the quest, picked it back up, and resummoned the Behemoth and it had the same exact behavior as before: evading, not put into combat, following me.

I used shadowmeld to drop the adds as the behemoth was spawning. Having the same issue. Dropped quest and the behemoth is still bugged.
The only way to fix it is to have someone group up with you. Thats how I was being able to fix it! Just type in general or whisper someone thats in front of the cave!

I had the same issue. I dropped the quest, completely exited the game, came back in and picked it up again and it worked.
Note: I was on my Sub Rogue and used vanish during the fight. I think that’s what bugged it.

Same Issue, I had 3 adds plus the behemoth and it popped my “egg” form where it saves you from dying once every 10 min or so. I will try out the group thing, so here’s hoping lol
Edit: If you abandon this quest, do not hearthstone to Oribos or back to ardenweald or shadowlands, you will not have the portal to Drustvar available for some godforsaken reason. It just tells you to go back and pick up the quest from the bear in Drustvar.
Second Edit: I was able to fix this by abandoning, (don’t leave drustvar lol), picking the quest back up, going back inside the tree, and killing all the adds before I placed the fetish down. It seems like if you try to avoid them and cheese, it just bugs out and glitches the Drust Behemoth into a reset phase where he can’t be attacked anymore.

Died during fight. Fae covenant wildseed ability procced and now the drust behemoth is standing in the room unkillable. Evades. Tried dropping quest and regrabbing to no avail.
Just happened to me. I died during the fight. Returned and the mob was at 20%, followed me around, and evaded. Dropping the quest didn’t work, exiting the game didn’t work.
I finally had to drop quest, retake, then wait and whisper someone near the quest giver, have them invite me to group, and complete the quest together (killing the mob twice, one for them, one for me). Extremely nice of them to help me out. Extremely bugged quest.

I just completed this quest. I killed all adds as I went in to the cave, placed fetish, and was able to kill quest ‘boss’ without issue.
Used Vanish and Boss is stuck and only Evades, can’t kill or progress in quest. Terrible QA, come on guys.

Same issue… abandoned, quest, exited out completely, picked it back up and it worked
this method work to reset the behemot. just whisper and make a group outside
Tried to kill 1st time and it bugged. Dropped and picked back up. Killed all Adds first and had no problem completing. Thanks
After reading most of your posts. It seems that you thankfully stayed around the map when you abandoned quest. I stupidly hearthed back to shadowlands.
There’s no way I can see to get back and reapply for the quest again as the initial portal at ardenweald to drustvar at is no longer viable by the npc’s…
Is there any other way I can get to kul tiras? I haven’t played since wotlk and have no flight paths.

Bloodsilva, I did the same thing. I haven’t played BFA and I can’t get back to Drustvar. This is very disappointing. I purposely stopped play BFA because disliked the expansion very early on and now I feel I’m being punished for not playing it. Any suggestions would be great…from anyone.
Im having the same issue. Boss glitched on me so I hearth’ed out and now I cant take portal or boat to Boralus. Its been like this for two days. Ive dropped the quest only to have it magically show back up into my quest log.
I encountered the same sort of bug, with one exception. For me, my totem has been used, but there is no boss at all. I died before it even spawned, so it doesn’t exist. Forming a group did nothing, neither did reloading ui, logging out/back in, or exiting game entirely and restarting.
It’s important to note that EVEN if you do NOT abandon your quest, the portal is gone from Ardenweald. I made sure I did NOT abandon the quest, thinking I could simply hearth to Oribos, fly to the Heart, and portal right back in to the bear. No, the NPCs who gave the original quest are gone, presumably when I turned that stage of the quest in and accepted the new one from the bear. So, I still have to drag my scrawny priest through Stormwind portal, through Boralus portal, fly to the nearest flight path in Drustvar, and climb the damn mountain, just so I can abandon and reacquire this quest.
Given that it’s a campaign quest for this expansion and, therefore, required to progress the story at all, I’m going to cross my fingers that Blizzard will put this higher on the list of bugs to fix. I really don’t want to have to do this across every single character.
