Faction Transfer gold cap not working. Have a level 80 with 24,981g

I’m having the same problem.
I customized my character and hit done. The gear showed on the character select screen however now it is showing the icon for faction change again and this time when I hit done I get the over gold cap error.
I can confirm that this is the same exact error as described as Niimbii, I get the icon for faction change, hit done and I get the “You have exceeded the gold limit for faction transfer.”
Same issue here. 20,689g and I get stopped.
I figured it out, it’s 20k max, not 25k.

20k limit not accurate. I just wasted 5k on epic flying to get down to 19.5k and it still says I have exceeded the gold limit. I server transferred first and now I’m stuck as horde on a 99.9% alliance server.
I’m trying to faction change a lvl 60 (should be the same 25k limit lvl 51-80) with about 17k gold and I get the gold exceeds limit error as well. According to some other posts I’ve seen, Blizzard is aware of the issue and supposedly “has a fix that just needs to be applied”. So maybe we see a fix with tomorrow mornings maintenance?
My guess is that the 20k is for level 80s?
Its clearly a bug and not working properly.
And today it went through with no changes. Wish I had not “blown” 5k on epic flight trying to fix it.
