Faction tension in Silvermoon

It seem despite one part of the city being shared the friction is still there and some alliance leaders will act like they own this place which makes the blood elves angry. So I smell another faction conflict brewing up on the horizon.

That sounds very forced.

I smell another Erevien crashout brewing up on the horizon.

Don’t worry its not like someone is going to yell Banana and all the Alliance players go on a killing rampage in the one small section of Horde only.

Silvermoon is a elves city and those aren’t elves will be removed by force.

Nope. My Alliance Haranir is going to set his hearth there and dance in your fountains while holding a giant blue and gold flag.

You can certainly try.

This was on wowhead and the interview talked that cuz the alliance is acting like they owned the place which is why the blood elves aren’t very happy about this.

They said paladins in the interview, not alliance paladins.
Could be that its specially alliance ones, could also be that its paladins of both factions
Gotta wait to find out.

You can look for yourself now.

I was kind of intrigued by this idea, but I don’t know if we should have brought awareness to this. The crybabies are going to come now.

I am ready for another real war, the world ending threats add nothing to the story or lore. The factions are where it’s at, unsurprising to no one who actually likes this game of course.

I fully support this direction really. I am sick and tired of acting like the blue team is our friend now which is never gonna stick to those who remember why the elves joined the Horde to begin with.

I support it too. I like the conflict, it adds to the story because it’s foundational to the entire game!

Wait wut? Where are you seeing this ingame?

The wowhead article says alliance, but the interview itself says paladins. It doesnt say alliance paladins specifically. Thats just something wowhead thinks they meant.

Read the interview. Blizzard isn’t done with factions.

Thank goodness. It actually gives me a bit of hope, which feels surprising today. I want them to further explore the factions and their place in this world, not homogenize and lessen their identities.

the paladins that came from the sunwell are the army of the light which is currently still under alliance control so it is fair to assume those people are the forces Turalyon brought with him.

The light brought a lot of people with them at that time, including the player character most of which arent paladins. I imagine a lot of arathi there too.
I dont think it was just the alliance that got called.

I mean, it could be the alliance specifically, but i cant call it either way yet.

“The “Alliance-friendly” section of the city is not Alliance excusive, it’s available to both. Conversely, the Horde-exclusive part will not allow Alliance inside, with the statement that going there is going to kill them.”

This I appreciate very much. They’re practically visitors and guests. There are boundaries to not cross, so don’t mistake reluctant hospitality for kindness.

“That friction is a part of the story they want to show players. Alliance Paladins showing up to defend the Sunwell is all well and good, but they continue to hang around a place in which many think they don’t belong. It’s one thing to help, but another to act like you own the city; as time goes by, they become increasingly restless and the friction between those factions increases.”

This part I love the most. No matter how people view or call faction/racial differences boring, dull or old, it’s very much still a thing and nothing can erase that. When you’re practically residing in someone’s homeland and those within the home clearly do not appreciate you being there longer than needed, friction is definitely going to happen. As it should.
