Dratnos and Tettles released a video talking about the faction imbalance at the high end.
we’re currently sitting at 50 horde/10 alliance on the HoF list.

Blizz has acknowledged this issue, but as per their usual - they move at a snail’s pace. I would love to see them address this because the experience on the underrepresented faction is far different than the represented.
And no, this is not on the shoulders of the players left on the alliance side to fix. Yes, it absolutely is a player created problem, but a bunch of heroic-only raiders and non-raiding players aren’t going to be the solution, nor is it fair to expect that of them.
time to do away with factions.
and if not, if you’re alliance and want to do high end content - you do yourself a favor by going horde.

Well each time i try to do High end on my allies toon its horrible. None of them know how to do dungeon properly. I dont 1 dungeon or even quit and go back to my Hordie

I don’t like that do away with the factions is everyone’s go to choice. However I am not insane, I do acknowledge there is a problem with the amount of horde it has become a disgusting overbloated faction.

Nuke the factions and be done with it. They don’t make sense in lore, the story doesn’t support it, and it causes so much disconnect for each character’s narrative with Blizzard’s current method of making us the “chosen one.”

I mean if you consider pvp blizz had a major part in it. The racials very clearly favor most Horde Races over alliance, and now the one benefit alliance had with faster ques horde gets with merc mode (also making alliance side worse ironically), and they have done some actions that very clearly show horde favoritism most people would point at allied races as an example.

Bottom line you have to have two factions to have a balance in the first place.
I’d be fine with removing factions, the only small thing that I’d want to happen is to have that one buff that disguises you as another race (like what’s used for Horde/some Alliance races in Culling of Strathholme) for things like Forsaken questing in Darkshore, or humans walking around in Dazar’alor. And for the nerds that want to be able to attack the other faction’s bases, add an NPC like the bronze dragons in places like Blasted Lands/Darkshore that add/remove that buff, while making the buff be on by default.

DUH is bc alans SUCK horde is best fraction ! were cool were a smart , get alot funs i hate alans dont hate alans player , if u do horde is goodjob , YA fraction inseblance is here and it GONNA be here as HORDE is alot cooler ! !

ewwww you play horde? yikes.
I’ve suggested in the past that both factions get the same exact racial abilities (with some minor tweaking for flavor/style), but that seemed to cause a lot of tears.

It’s the other way around. Only good horde race are orcs for pvp.

It is logical given that they gave each faction pallies and shaman because of reasons. So why not give them equal racials?
What will removing racials do? ok say they removed them why would someone pay to faction change and maybe need to pay for a transfer too (depending on the server population of the faction)
The only solution would be to make it so we don’t have factions but many people would be angry if they did that and Blizzard are not in the greatest place right now…
Maybe make it so the racials are removed and give people free transfer and faction change…
I cant see another solution but i can say that its a total joke right now on alliance it takes so long to get a group for m+ and the group finder and trade is just filled with WTS spammers.
I play my horde pally and don’t have any problems but i wont transfer my druid to horde because I don’t like trolls toes so i am just not playing until its fixed its a total joke.
Considering that all the main lore characters are best friends with the opposite faction’s main lore characters, I agree.
I don’t really know how world pvp would function, though, if that were the case.

i think the best way to fix this is to allow cross-faction dungeons, raids, pvp, etc.
like merc mode
