Long time player here coming back to play Classic Anniversary with friends and I can’t even make a character on the horde side because of faction imbalance? There was literally no reason for me to pay for the game time if I’m not even able to play with my friends. Is this a bug? If not I guess I’ll be calling for a refund and uninstall for good this time. Unbelievable

The anniversary servers are faction balance enforced.
It locks and unlocks several times per day, try again later.

Keep checking. It switches between available and not available constantly.

I’ve been waiting for over an hour, which is now causing me to ask myself why am I even waiting. This doesn’t seem very economical in the long run and seems to punish returning players who prefer horde over alliance.
give it some time and you will eventually be able to make a horde character 
faction balance is one of the few good changes they’ve done. completely one sided servers are lame.

Horde isn’t currently locked on NS. I’m looking at it right now.
