I just faction changed my 55 warrior to Alliance. I am trying to get to Zuldazar but the guy on the ship has nothing for me and wont take me to that area. Whats the trick?
It looks like I have been there before…some spots are still covered on the map while others are not. Just can’t get the guy on the ship to give me the options to sail there.
I have the achievement but it doesn’t show any of the war campaign chapters completed but it says it was done back in oct '20
I know I completed this when I was horde if that matters.
Talking to Jes-Tereth on the boat in boralus he says the ship is at my command, but no option to go anywhere
I believe yiu can pick up the quest off the board to get there or take the portal in the mage room
I don’t have a portal to there and the board does not give me any quests for it. Appreciate the response though!
Dang thats odd. I just looked around and it said look for nathanos blightcrawler and he should give you the quest to get there. That was back in marxh of last year so idk if its changed. Id assume he is by the main gates
The questline to gain access to Zuldazar (War Campaign) starts with Halford Wyrmbane. If he doesn’t have anything for you, step into the Harbormaster’s office and speak to Cyrus. There is a bit of dialogue in the office between Cyrus, Genn, and Taelia. Once that is complete, Genn will ask you to check in with Halford.
I hope that helps. I have also heard others having to equip the azerite necklace for quests to light up.
He gives me a quest to get to Nazjatar but nothing about zuldazar.
Edit- Just completed the nazjatar quest he gave me and now he does nothing else.
Is Genn on the ship, or in the office? The office is where the quest:
“The War Campaign” Report to Halford Wyrmbane on the Wind’s Redemption
is offered by Genn, but only in the Office near the ship. Did you equip the necklace? Do you already have 100 war resources? This is the first thing he will want you to gather.
Genn is on the ship, command table already has progress on it. I think I am bugged not the quest.

You can open a ticket, or post this in the Customer Service forum. Also, check the lady at the ships wheel to see if she will take you to Zuldazar (Grand Admiral Jes-Tereth). Also, I believe its Halford Wyrmbane who will tell you to talk to Jes-Tereth if you haven’t already been granted passage to Zuldazar.

Have you chosen a zone from the scouting map for Kul Tiras yet? I don’t get the quest to go down to the ship and start the War Campaign until I’ve done the map thing.

I FINALLY got past this bug… with zero help from Blizz support, I might add. They just told me I was “the only one” experiencing this and that they couldn’t help me. Anyway… if you’re in this state, chances are, you have Magni in the throne room of the castle in Stormwind. He’ll have a quest for you. Here’s what you do:
- Take the Tides of War quest from the quest board in Stormwind
- Equip your Heart of Azeroth (no idea if you really need to do this, but I had it on following other suggestions and figured it couldn’t hurt)
- Take that quest from Magni and follow the quest line until he has you return to the Heart - go there and turn in his quest. You don’t need to go any further with that.
- Return to Stormwind and go into the castle; Anduin will be in the left-side anti-chamber having his counsel meeting. Follow that quest line… just do all the things until he sends you to the ship. Then you can open up your Zuldazar sailing routes!
This took me two months to finally figure out. I tried everything… on a whim, I did the above tonight and it worked!! You’ll have to go through the starting quests to open up all three ports, but at least, now you can!
Yes, magni quests are the big trip up for most people. Pretty much the entire BfA campaign grinds to a halt if you don’t do his “side quests”. Anytime you get stuck trying to unlock something in BfA, always check on magni.
