Quick question was planning on changing this character over to horde but before I do will all the reps I maxed to exalted change over to the horde factions, would I also be able to keep my name as I’ve had it for god forever. I ask in advance cause I’ve put alot of hard work into this character and to have to regrind all the reps would be painful of expansions past.
- yes rep transfers
- traitor
Yes cause you’ll still be on the same server thus you already have it
Edit: you can also change your name if I’m not mistaken
You are correct. You are always given the opportunity to name change on faction transfer.
The only reps that don’t carry over are special ones like the sunreavers/silver covenant that will reset to neutral
Everything else pretty much stays the same. You keep the name since its server specific
I’m going horde to alli is pretty crap
Good luck. I couldn’t do it. Night elf is too good for druids. I couldn’t do a tauren or troll. I’ve tried.
ALL TRAITORS SHOULD BE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE MAW:
- to listen to Celine Dion music 24/7…
- to read the Democratic Party Platform over and over…
Torture over Nine Thousand!
I think these are the ones at the Argent Tournament in the Alliance/Horde tents respectively(?). I don not know if Blizzard made a counter faction for the Wintersaber Trainers though. I know that something was done so Horde could get a special raptor, but nothing beyond that.
More and more alliance keep faction changing. Enjoy the favoritsm and amazing perks you get there too.
Just out of curiosity, why are you faction transfer if you don’t mind me asking.
Yeah they are, my exalted argent crusader toon factionned alliance before she could buy the sunreaver tabard and now she has to run heroic dungeons to get back the rep with the silver covenant
Sure thing Bojanglz glad you asked, Reason I plan on leaving mainly is on alliance most of my friends have either left the game or faction over to the other side of the fence. I don’t hate alliance I really don’t but no one is around anymore and I had made a rogue on Horde Thrall server and amazingly they raid they pvp they socialize we crack jokes have a good time I mean how many folks do you know that make bets with gold just to see who farms the most herbs or fish I feels like a family. Sadly on alliance and yes I will always like the faction many of my friends for the most part left shadow lands I’ve even tried to get them back willing to help anyway possible. But times change people change and horde right now is where I find that tight knit group I had on alliance years back. And to add to it it their is no favoritism I’ve played both sides and horde as I like both of them.
I hear ya and get it. Glad you are having fun over there!
There actually is. Let me give you a little list as it seems like you are oblivious to it.
-
Best racials in the game. Have had the best for many many years. Hence why all the top guilds are horde and why 13 out of the top 100 are Alliance. So 67% of the Horde are in the top 100.
-
Horde dominates pvp with everyone moving over among other reasons.
-
Most content is Horde driven. BfA. Lots of extra Horde cinematics. Horde destroys a major city and their own. There have been multiple raids based off Horde content. ie. SoO and Uldir. Not one for the Alliance where the Horde were just throw ins like we were.
-
All the devs play horde.

The higher ups felt the need to poke fun at the Alliance 1 or 2 Blizzcons ago when they knew the Alliance have been getting tired of the Horde favortism so instead of trying to help things, they poured salt in the wound.
The list can go on but if you seriously don’t see the favortism then you are delusional. I am not trying to say it in a bad way but you are blinded by it. I have a Horde alt also just to see both sides and if I didn’t hate the horde so much, I would have faction transferred long ago because of how much more I get on the favored side. Actually winning BGs, the best racials, etc.
Sadly, Horde is where the bulk of N.A. end game players are /shrug
If you want as many opportunities as possible to raid and do high M+, you pretty much have to go horde these days.
Oh I agree. I am lucky enough to be in a very active guild to where I get to do heroic raiding and m+. I stopped doing hard core raiding once it went to 20 man because the guild I was in WoD couldn’t get 20 which was good because I was getting burnt out on pushing the hardest raid level.
But yeah, very much agree with you on that.
My long-time realm is Madoran, was close to 50/50 balance (maybe slightly Alliance if anything). During the first merge Dawnbringer joined us and the balance stayed the same. Horde population did increase during nighttime hours though. With Shadowlands, both Staghelm & Azuremyst signed on.
I do not know if those two were already linked, but according to people Have talked to Azuremyst was Horde central. As a result of the latest merge, Blizzard has effectively demolished balance on at least two of the servers, possibly three. Just doing WQ can be a major pain between the farming of raw materials and gold in high spawn rate areas.
Starting to think about “if you can’t beat them, join them.” I have never liked Horde architecture and the less than human original races so I got imbedded in Alliance. Needless to say, I don’t play on my shammy or druid, have only a few toons I play on and nobody I really hang out. Horde might get a boost to the BE population.
Of course, I might look into a server transfer to an Alliance dominated server - I can handle a log in queue to avoid seeing nothing but orange nameplates.
This is one of the few things holding me back. Most of my toons are NE and I love 'em.
You spelled “too” wrong.
Welcome to the Horde! Glad to have you joining us. Now I know our cookies are made of rocks but you get used to them.
Leafmealone could be a nice troll/Tauren name too!
Couldn’t care less about my grammar on the internet, obviously you understood what I meant, You should try growing up it would do you good.
Tauren Druids are super cool, after all I played and mained one for 7 years.
