Faction Assault Rewards

Genuinely curious about what exactly the rewards can be. Can someone confirm for me whether or not Assault caches can contain rings or trinkets? Or are they only weapons and armour and I should probably stop doing them now because I’m just going to keep getting bracers every day on every character.

The same question extends to the weekly PVP quest Against Overwhelming Odds, but I figure the answer must be same since both (for whatever reason; IMO PVP should reward PVP items) award 7th Legion (or Horde equiv) items.

As far as I know the assault rewards can be anything from the 7th legion/honorbound warfront drops. No rings or trinkets.

If the reward says it’s an Armour Cache, that’s exactly what you’ll get – an armour piece.

Then there’s the Equipment Cache. That can drop weapons and armour. I can verify that since I got a dagger out of it the night before last. Haven’t seen a ring or trinket yet, though. Pipe up if you have, so we can get a handle on Blizzard’s logic with naming~

There’s also the Weapon Cache, but bugger if those don’t seem rarer than miniature polkadot unicorns. Only weapons from them, obviously.

Any other Cache manes you’ve seen?

Ah, okay, thanks! I remember seeing a lot of “equipment” caches, which is vague and seemed like it might be able to contain rings/trinkets. Shame, then. BfA refuses to give me trinkets.

Yeah, unfortunately, no rings or trinkets from any of the Assault/Emissary caches.

There’s a 395 ring that you can buy with 300 service medals.

Yeah, I’m 20 medals from that silly ring, myself.

Even after the item level becomes moot, it’ll be nice to have to port handy.

I think, but can’t confirm, that the faction specific emissary caches can drop rings(ie. Zandalari Band or Golden Empire Signet) as those used to be a potential item from emissary rewards.
I don’t know this for certain but only because we have had so few of those types of caches, I think only 1 or 2 Horde side since 8.1 released, and they can also contain a weapon or armor for any slot, including azerite gear.

I turned in probably around 20 different paragon boxes. They all contained exactly the same thing. 2500 azerite, around 4000 gold, and war resources. I can’t remember if they had service medals as well. I’m inclined to say no.
Additionally, one of the tortollan ones contained a tank 2 recipe, a voldun one contained a toy, and I got a pet from the talanji one today.

The 7th Legion/Honorbound paragon will have 20 medals, but the others don’t have any.

IIRC, I got a trinket from the first Darkshore warfront quest (the quest that dude gives you when a warfront flips) that I did. But, since then it’s just been belts or shoes.
I’m starving for some rings. :confused:

Edit: After thinking about it alittle more, I think the trinket might’ve dropped off of the world boss in Darkshore. My apologies.

Does anyone know if only tier 1 battlefront armor is rewarded for incursions or is there a chance for tier 2 or 3? i hate that the one quest after a reset and the one patrol battlefront boss kill are the only sources for tier 3 other than PVP. In my near 14 years i’ve only queued for pvp once, not my thing. plus its a different shade. Thanks for any replies :smile:
