Isn’t the title wrong?, Should fix it, Isnt it Blood Elves are High Elves not the other way around?.
Because a High Elf can turn to Fel and become a Blood Elf, but, now a big but, you cant reverse it…
Example… isn’t Orc just Mag’har? But they became Fel tainted crossing the portal. You can’t reverse it…
Draenei and light forged, one is light forged one isn’t irreversible.
Dark Iron and Dwarf, one blessed by Ragnaros one isn’t.
Taurens and High Moutains, one blessed by censarius which literally changes just horns.
Yet my question is, why no to High Elves when these examples are in game. High Elves > Blood Elves > Void Elves. All different in their own way and cannot be reversed.
Even with the examples given where they all similar all have different beliefs and so do High Elves.
Regardless I’m just stating lore and facts from Blizzard themselves.
Let’s not forget them butchering lore and making Wildhammer Dwarves into Bronzebeard
Except VE/BE/HE are all still genetically the same… The difference is in what they chose to feed on. That’s like saying that there was a difference between a British person and a British American colonist, back in the day, just because they ate different foods…
I get infused with salts when I drink my Gatoraid and it gives me a little bit of energy while I’m working out. Florida man gets infused with a different kind of salt, goes crazy and does a bunch of crazy stuff. Doesn’t mean we are two different species.
We have Pandarens on both sides, I’m telling you now I’ve never once confused an alliance pandaren with horde, if you do, mate, maybe you should go to spec savers
Our opinions influence blizzards opinion thats why it matters, so even the smallest chance of hope people will voice those opinions thus we have high elf pro choice players spamming their threads and we have anti high elf threads being posted here. Cause if it truely didnt matter we wouldnt have either thread up. Ion did say no but its not stopping the supporters to continue to voice their opinion in hopes ions choice change due to their opinions.
Another fact; High Elves under Vereesa aren’t Blood Elves and there is a big want to play them.
You make the difference between Blood Elves and Void Elves but don’t see the difference when they are two different groups as clearly outlined in Legion.
I’m not denying their is a passion there and its good to have passion about something but once blood elves joined up in the Horde in the burning crusade even though it was probably a middle finger to most high elf / alliance lovers whats done is done just how in return the void elves became a middle finger to the horde / belf lovers.
So you’re saying you have no legitimate reason to deny a player request but for the sole purpose of denying a player request, when you’ve just stated it affects you in no way?
Not at all, since Alliance High Elves have never been Blood Elves and have never been a part of the Horde Blood elf story, so you’re factually incorrect.
We want that specific group of High Elves, and have suggested rig changes to not “steal” the blood elf model again.
all I’m hearing is “we wanted that lineage of elves, but not the compromise version you gave us, cater to my extremely specific niche”
meanwhile, roleplayers are happy enough to just pretend they’re certain things in the lore
the most I’d be willing to concede on this is that velves should have some more skin options, but then most allied races (especially the ones dropped in legion) are in severe need of customization
though i’m strongly against high elves joining the alliance, if they join the horde fine but it could be better used for customization in current blood elves just like how highmountain tauren would of just better fit for extra customization on normal tauren.
