Fact of the day: High Elves are Blood Elves

I mean if you wanted to point out how ridiculous is to need a biological difference to enact ideological and political differences in this game, congrats!

Like, you have to realize that by saying “High and Blood elves are the same they can’t be on different factions” you are admitting that it’s not a lore issue and instead one about aesthetics gameplay design.

“No, you are not unique enough to make a political choice” just reveals the artifice and the illusion of choice when it comes to factions.

Asking for true High Elves as an actual faction race is like asking to step into a time machine and travel back to a time in which World of Warcraft did not exist.

That is how much High Elves predate World of Warcraft via the lore.

Blizzard would have to find a way to get them into the game via another time travel loop similar to what they did in Warlords of Draenor, and that’s already asking a lot.

Quote from Wiki page:
The high elves were once a significant force on the continent, but in recent times their numbers have been dramatically reduced; approximately 90% of their population was slaughtered during the Third War.

Following this, 90% of the surviving high elves changed their name to blood elves or sin’dorei (children of the blood in Thalassian) in remembrance of their fallen brethren, and no longer consider themselves high elven.

But then they made a “crack squad” an AR and the whole population argument got chucked out of the window lol.

Or do you believe that over 10% of Blood Elves became Void Elves?

with this reasoning and logic void elves are high elves cause blood elves are high elves. So the alliance already has high elves. Horde didnt ask or care for nightborne just like alliance didnt ask or care for void elves but saying alliance doesnt care for it doesn’t justify void elves being the most allied played race in game.

yet we have spams upon spams of pro high elf threads in the forums where i see maybe one anti high elf thread every 1-2 weeks?

ok so heres the idea. high elves join the alliance. as part of their official induction, theyre asked to wear green body paint.

you guys cool with this? official high elves on alliance, except theyre green. but underneath that green, whatever your heart desires!

cool beans?

Ions recent statement seems to contradict that previous fact.

Also there is a cultural divide to High and Blood Elves, that is why some characters still refer to themselves as an High Elf.

The only difference between High and Blood Elves, is one is Alliance, the other Horde. People just want The Alliance version playable.

You have a way to prove that?

Though I agree with you, we didn’t need another thread about it. Especially since they are already have two going.

Blood Elves were High Elves. They changed there name to honor there fallen, and do not consider themselves as High Elves.

Browse the general forums on a daily basis it pretty much shows. But seeing how you react on this thread you seem to have a hate bone against anti high elf posters. While trying to justify that pro high elf lovers are more genuine and loving which is conflicting when the statements you make say otherwise. Have you high elf lovers ever given a thought to what it means to the players who have immense love and pride for the sin’dorei as a whole and their part in the horde and how having high elves in the alliance is the biggest slap in the face to them or do you just not care for what others think if it doesn’t align with your own interests?

Not proof.

No, I hate spam, which is why I posted on a useless thread about high elves when there were already TWO active ones.

I hope you know what they say about assumptions.

It doesn’t affect you. They aren’t taking away blood elves. Stop trying to victimize yourself.

i’m not victimizing myself, but giving a cloned race to the alliance because their elves aren’t good enough devalues the blood elf player choice within the Horde, it devalues why the serve the horde, it devalues the uniqueness and the immersion of being a blood elf within the Horde. So as someone who absolutely loves the Blood elves and the Horde and holds great negative emotions about the alliance out of pride this does affect me. Just because it isn’t your horse doesn’t mean it isn’t special.

Being green is Horde exclusive, thank you very much.

This person’s just trying to push your buttons. It looks like they’re hiding behind an alt. There’s a group of them that likes to bait people then flag bomb them when they slip up.

Alliance high elves don’t devalue horde blood elves. If it’s solely because you don’t want to share models, then say it. High elves will continue to exist in the alliance.

“Hiding behind an alt” as much the OP is. You know you have a weak argument when you resort to irrelevant responses like this. Again, do you guys get tired of playing the victim?

To add to that: Void elves=High elves=Blood elves. They are all the same, just different flavors of coolaid.

If a high elf player in the alliance and a blood elf player in the Horde shared the same armor set as i wear now as i post this you wouldnt be able to tell the difference what so ever even in combat (there is a difference with void elves while in combat). High elves are a small group who joined the current alliance out of spite against the blood elves for being kicked out. I don’t even like void elves being apart of the alliance but its already done and nothing will change it, there is no action taken with high elves though so I among many others will be vocal to keep it that way. We paying customers have a right to voice our opinions regardless if they are right or wrong, we all have opinions. The forums here are to express, ask, and debate on topics related to world of warcraft. My expression / opinion / debate is that High elves being playable is a middle finger to all horde belf lovers and you just don’t care which you have the right not to care but dont tell me my opinion doesn’t matter.

Oh look.
An actual spam thread.

I hate to break it to you, but no, it doesn’t. At the end of the day the only opinion that matters it that of blizzard’s.
