You can usually find a group up in the group finder for him under ‘Custom’.

They are usually groups just waiting. One group leader told me he hadn’t spawned.
Yeah he was near Ashen strand earlier. We had like 2 massive raids getting him. Everyone was inviting friends and guildies i have never summoned so many people.
When I had it in mind to grab it yesterday, there were 2 groups listed saying he was up. One with WM on and one without.
Maybe it was just serendipity that they were listed at the exact moment I looked.
At any rate, he does spawn.

I saw someone on one. They do exist.
I’m too impatient to camp something like that so I dunno if I’ll ever get one (like that fugly big one in Gorgrond…joined a group, got antsy and left within 15 min).

All I have read suggest the spawn timer between 6-8 hours. Based on that, check the groups and the coordinates. Shouldn’t be too hard since you don’t have to kill it I believe. I might be wrong on the last part.
Wait 2 xpacs and I’ll go back and get him.
I farmed the one in Gorgrond for at least 4 hours with a massive groups of people, Leatherworkers set up their tents, some people put feasts down and we all chatted and had a campout. It was kinda nice

Easier now really when other people help watching for him.

You can’t kill him anyway, he despawns if he completes his loop. Just need to take a selfie and you get the mount.

I got it the day the patch came out.
I got mine yesterday from a group in group finder. He is my new go to aquatic mount.
