We’ve seen interesting new “builds” for BM and MM, and a lack there of for SV.
Focus regen was messed up for SV.
Cobra Shot Rank 2 just mysteriously was forgotten.
Arcane shot reigned supreme over Cobra shot for a bit there.
Hunters Mark is a bad mechanic made worse with a 20 second cooldown, so there’s that.
Night Fae, our most aesthetically pleasing for class fantasy has the worst ability for us (just broken).
There’s also so many more great follys in hunters, but one thing I think we all can just be so happy for is Eyes of the Beast.
Thank God for Eyes of the Beast. A spell worth forgetting. I’m sure many will utilize it at least once. For your general RP use and not much more, but it may be funny to get the casual that tries to be sneaky with it while you’re ganking their character in the corner of the map. What a great spell that will be cherished by all to never use.
I’m glad that this was not only given back, but presented in many of the Shadowlands reveals as a big deal of unpruning… I’m sure it will, as it was, be sitting in your spellbook with the only reminder of a gold halo around it notifying you that it’s not anywhere on your bars.
Thank you for this. Hunters are complete again.

The sarcasm is strong with this one.

I just can’t wait to put eyes of the beast back on my bars. Most meaningful performance enhancement for years to come!

They fixed this a while ago, its fine now, and they even fixed the duration on Serpent sting so it no longer gets shorter with haste.
How many other hunters just want to use EotB then use their pets to hop around Kuvlad on release day?

For a small amount of time because why not, though probably not for long since the one minute time limit is rather limiting.
Can think of a few uses for Eyes of the Beast. Scouting in war mode to see if Horde might be camping where you are heading towards. FD skipping in mythic plus might be on the table since pet deaths dont count towards the death count.
Getting people to accidentally flag if they arent paying attention?
As a casual, I’m having a lot of fun with Eyes of the Beast on PTR these days. Not everything should be about numbers and damage.

Hence why I said was.
I could use a pet parade around me, that’d be fun.
At WQs isn’t it just better to assume they are and if they aren’t at least you were ready? There’s also Eagle Eye for that. Also we have Camo, kind of makes the whole eyes of the beast scouting thing useless.
Sure, but it’s not about numbers and damage, it’s about truthfully are you going to really use it outside of running around in circles in the main city? Now that we have Camouflage eyes of the beast’s uses are null and void. You can’t loot with it. Your pet doesn’t really do much damage, so it’s not like you’ll use it to solo content. You also won’t be able to mend pet while in it and pets are pretty squish.
No one will use this on a weekly basis outside of RP. It was fun in Vanilla when your cat could stealth and you couldn’t but that’s not the case now.
Yep, I guarantee I will. A lot. For fun, for exploration, for nice screenshots, for whatever reasons.
We just wanted it back for the kicks.
