Eye of shadow doesnt drop from winterspring elites

I’ve been at this for 40+ hours and I haven’t seen a drop. Can I get confirmation that it does from the Hederine Slayers?

My friend unfortunately you are the victim of bad RNG.
I killed 6 of those and it dropped.

No they removed it for SoM because it counts as a world buff. Just check its page on wowhead classic
