I’m trying to figure out why the rogue sword item was introduced to the eye of divinity and leaf drop pool. It already felt bad back in classic era to get multiple leafs in a row when you have a lot of priest in raid as on average you typically have more priest than other classes. but now there is also a very specific sword rogue item when a lot of rogues are playing Mutilate so its an off spec item for them and it shares a loot pool with Healing/Shadow Priest BIS. My raid already saw the rogue item with our 1 sword rogue and we have 1 hunter, so if we get the leaf this coming week we have a 33% chance each week to get an eye for one of our 4 priest or we could just get a dead item. How did we actually end up with a worse chance to get this item than it was in era??? on a seasonal server this feels really bad and should be looked at please.
Well the thing is that if you do Molten Core on the higher heat levels, each boss drops more items - so you could potentially get multiple eyes/leaves/swords per Major Domo defeat.
Also does the secret Heat Level 3 boss have the Eye/Leaf/Sword on his loot table? From what I understand the secret boss has all loot on his loot table.

We get hardly any changes on our class item and rogues get a super bis offhand at the expense of our drop rate. Very cool.
You can give them a cool item and put it on a different loot table my issue isnt with the item its with it sharing the loot pool with the other 2.
I like how there are no other considerations in this statement than “Priest no get item” despite the fact there are three classes represented in this shared drop pool item. I personally think it made the most sense to add it to the shared loot pool. This is no different than literally any other drop table item. And the argument could apply to tier tokens too.
Theres 20 people instead of 40 you have a higher chance to get it

Are you complaining that your item which had a 50% chance to drop, and is BIS for several phases historically, has now been reduced to a still-massive 33% chance to drop? And with fewer people to compete against when it does drop compared to 40 man raids before?

Removing it from the drop pool and to a different boss helps all classes involved. Priest are the most affected because on average you will have more priest in your raid. Its also very niche in being a sword rogue item. Vs BIS for hunter and Priest.
Back in classic on a 50% drop chance with 5 priest vs now with 4 priest it took me 2 months to get the eye on a 50% chance to drop. So yes 33% chance is significantly lower on a SEASONAL server with what should be shorter phases. Anathema isn’t BIS for shadow priest in the next phase its barely BIS this phase so yeah id like to actually get to use it before it gets replaced with BWL mace

You have obviously never played priest and been on the end of going 3-4 weeks in a row of seeing the leaf instead or the eye which is why you dont understand the argument. Which is fine i get it that 50% sounds like a high drop chance, but its also 50% for the other items and only 1 can drop not multiple. This is a seasonal server so yes i think lowering the drop chance feels bad, esp when you clear and the hunter and priest are hoping for the drop only to see that your dagger rogue is getting it as an off spec item.
Going a raid tier without seeing a specific item is normal. You will be fine.

MC doesn’t magically disappear when BWL comes out. You will have plenty MCs to get an eye.
Anathema stops being BIS in BWL so thats not really a good argument. No one would be happy if they nerfed the drop rates of any other weapon so again why should i be happy about mine getting a nerfed drop rate when every other weapon got buffee rates?
I know you really want this argument to somehow mean your item is equal or worse in drop rate to other items in MC, but it’s not and never will be, even at 33%, except maybe to tier tokens.
Your item was already astronomically high at 50% drop rate, and it’s still insanely high at 33%.

Again give me a good reason why i should be happy about the item getting a nerfed drop rate? Every other weapon has a chance to drop from multipe bosses now molten core can drop any weapon. Its a seasonal server so nerfing drop rates feels bad if you actually play the class in question. What do you play hu?
