"Eye for an eye" Quest Major Bug

Hello.

So, I was questing in Stormsong Valley today and found a really annoying bug in the quest Eye for an eye. In this quest you are supposed to get in a shredder, kill some horde NPCs, and burn some buildings in the Warfang Hold.

The thing is, when you get there you are still phased in the normal Warfang Hold, with the PvP elites. As expected, they instantly jump in and tear the shredder apart. Also the shredder deals little to no damage to the other non-elite NPCs.

The quest is impossible to complete right now, which is worrying because itā€™s required for the Kul Tiras Loremaster achievement.

Have you guys come across this bug as well?

Hi, I am having the same issue. I am completely unable to get past this point. the shredder wonā€™t workā€¦this quest is totally bugged.

They evidently are behind on bling like pets and mounts and canā€™t work on actual program bugs. To paraphrase a GM in a bug reports recently, ā€œso sad, too badā€.

Well, nothing new on phasing bug overall. Recently, I sent them a ticket, and I received a response that ā€œproblems should have been resolved by now; if not, post on bug report forum.ā€ So keep posting to get their serious attention, and hopefully it will be gone when 8.1.5 comes out.

I try to do this quest today, got ran over by the PvP NPCs :confused:

Has anyone been able to do this quest? I keep getting crushed by the pvp guards.

I just want to clarify something hereā€¦ I see everybody reporting this is 120 already. Is there a WQ active in the same area when you are having the trouble?

Currently, WQ phasing takes precedence over regular questing; there is a lot to this decision but the basic idea is one of them has to have priority and it would be worse if it was the other way around. But what it means is if you are 120 and still trying to do regular quests, you can run into weird problems if there is a WQ in the same area. It is better to clear the WQ first (or wait till it expires) before trying to do a regular quest.

I got it!
You have to use the jump function to get to some places and the building closest to the quest giver you have to jump in and get the flight master when the pats are FAR away, then go into the building, kill all and then burn from inside.
You can kill elites fastest by hitting 2 (fire), then 1 (lightning).
Still, I died so many times just trying to get to it I spent over 1000 in repairs. In donā€™t know when to quit.

Still having this issue. All the buildings are on fire, including the one with the flight master. I logged out for a while, logged back in and still no more buildings to light up. All the other parts of ā€˜An Eye for an Eyeā€™ are complete. Is this gonna get fixed? Trying to finish Pathfinder I and this is the last quest in this section of Stormsong. Please help!

That sounds different than what was being reported here, which was that the unphased PvP flagged Horde camp was getting into the phased non-PvP non-elite camp that is there for this quest.

The usual issue with not being able to find the last building is that one of the buildings isnā€™t a building at all, it is the camp of three tents (?) down near the lake to the left of the path up to the tower with the final boss.

Just encountered this bug. My fiancƩe and I will try it with a low level grouped up as leader since it seems to be a level 120 thing. Will report back.

I am having similar issues with this quest and it is really frustrating to see it broken with so many people having similar issues. Edit: I would rather see this quest deleted and have the previous quest be the finale for the cycle of hatred story line in Stormsong Valley. I am also level 120 so Voidbergs problem is similar to mine.

I was able to kill General Blackstone by using the mech to jump up the wall right next the fence behind him. Once you aggro him, use the jump to get back out of the fence, and you should be able to kill him.

Now to figure out how to burn the buildingsā€¦

Been trying to finish this for achievement, have sunk already over 700 gold in repairs, keep dying to elites which are right there when I try to run into camp.

Canā€™t seem to finish this at all
