Hello.
Today has been impossible for me to log in. First it wasn’'t logging and after restarting my pc a couple of time i managed to log in but for the short time i was able to log in, i was having over 6k+ latency.

I am having the same issue in both Retail and Classic my latency is almost doubled today. Was running at 49 world and home its now at 83 world and home

I have been scrambling to find a fix with no luck yet. I am sorry you have been having these troubles as well but it makes me feel better knowing I am not alone. I typically stood around 43 at home and world but now I am lucky to stay around 100ms home and world.

Second that OP and fellow lag-meisters.
I don’t have a decent setup or internet but this lag is kinda ridiculous.

Dont feel bad, I actually do have a pretty good internet set up and mine is still garbage. I have also noticed that my lag happens with the new CoD as well. Maybe an activision problem?

Got a minipatch and suddenly it got fixed.
What’s worse is I’m one of the affected w/ another problem that is random disconnects BUT Blue replied it was on their end.
I think they did quite a few changes and it’s just something that crept up. Seems it’s fixed for Hellroth, I will be on a bit later tonight to see if it fixed anything.
Stupendously high latency for me as well.
I doubled checked to make sure it wasn’t me by loading up Final Fantasy XIV. That game runs fine.
So this is absolutely a WoW issue.

Same issue here.
Sometimes when I load in, I can see some players spinning or running in place while other players are running around just fine and using abilities and actively doing things like nothing is wrong. I can run around, but cannot use any abilities or anything and things like portals will never load into the game.
The last time I logged in, I was able to mount and use a portal, then mounted again, completed some missions at my mission table, and did a couple quest turn ins at the warfront table. Then I flew to a nearby world quest, right clicked the quest item, but at the start of combat, I couldn’t attack or be attacked by any mobs, I could still run around and the mobs followed me, but no abilities would trigger. I sat like that for about 15 minutes talking in guild chat and watching videos until I ended WoW via task manager.
My game was running perfectly fine before this morning patch, I actually got on and played for about half an hour before servers went offline.
I am having the same issue. Since the patch this morning nothing but lag and disconnects. I tried doing a pathping, and it seems the problems/lag start as soon as I hit the xe & et servers. (Same as the OP). Hopefully just something they can fix soon.
Deleting my WTF and Cache fixed my high latency and disconnects
I’m in Seige of Org with a guild mate and I’m having HORRIBLE lag and my guild mate is not. I’ve restarted my router, deleted wtf/cache and restarted the game 6 times. It runs fine for a few mins and then boom back to 4k latency (was at 9k at one point!)

Same issue here. I can log in and play for 30 seconds to 1 minute then lag kicks in. World and home lag are 1800 - 3000 on Malfurion. Seems to impact my connection for a few minutes even after quitting out of WoW. After a few minutes, the latency clears up

Just to add, pathping and tracert show the issue occurring for me at 137.221.65.0 or as57976 .net which is a google domain in Kansas City.

I just keep getting D/C every 10min or so for the past couple days and it’s real frustrating.

Connected with a VPN to Vancouver allowed me to remain below 100ms. You are right, Boomsnap. Looks like culprit is a Canadian Line that effects more then just Shaw.
Yeah, this lag is brutal. The game is basically unplayable like this.
