Since updating WoW Classic with the recent Firelands update, the game has had extremely high latency. Internet is not an issue, every other program runs smoothly. Once combat starts, or I’m around a lot of players in a capital city the latency skyrockets. Is anyone else having this issue? Have you been able to find a solution? Thank you in advance for the help.
I can’t speak to the combat part, but it is very common for latency to increase when a lot of players are near each other. Think back to the beginning of Classic - that was a mess.
I haven’t experienced any huge lag spikes, but half of what you mentioned is normal.

If your saying it only happens in WoW then that might have something to do with your GPU or CPU. Especially if you have a 14th gen intel or a 4080/90 or both you might want to check your the PSU cables plugged into your GPU and for your CPU update your bios
Tbh it’s most likely to be an addon that the patch broke.
