Tank and healer shortage are a result of how raids are composed. When a guild only needs 2 tanks per 25 people it happens. Trust, many people would play tank of they weren’t told to DPS because there’s already 2.

No real incentive to tank mythic+ with pugs outside of the no-risk practice runs for their guild.

thats to hard to understand. only tanks get any form of “toxic” stuff thrown their way.
If you play classic this becomes clear as day when it’s 40 man raids, 2/40 now tank and you’re looking to farm Baron for the mount lfg for 2 hrs+. If raids were set 10 man like tbc no issues.

The main reason there is a shortage, is Tanks and Healers are treated like garabage by pugs. I don’t pug for that reason alone.

DPS are also treated like garbage in pugs, I don’t pug because the tank or healer are likely trolls.
It’s the raid comps. There’s a shortage because people can’t tank in raid. No 4 set, no tanky. DPS are more likely to pug because guild has surplus.

Iʻm betting that the folks who donʻt want to roll a tank are the very ones who make life hard on tanks and are afraid to be the target of such behavior.
I like playing the tank spec but Iʻm nowhere near skilled to do any M+ anything. I doubt Iʻm even skilled enough for normal Pugs. I just save everyone the headache and go DPS if Iʻm gonna do group content.
