Would this macro work?

#showtooltip Gateway Control Shard

/use Gateway Control Shard
/click ExtraActionButton1

Edit: i dont suppose there is a way to check if the ExtraActionButton1 is available?

and to check if Gateway Control Shard is usable (i.e. there is a nearby warlock gateway)?

Should. Strongly recommend against it though. Those aren’t two things you want to hit at the same time.
