With the trade post continuing to have cool things but a severely limited currency amount, I’d really like to have a way to continue to earn minor amounts of tender after completing the reward track. My thought would be to treat the Tracker as a “battle pass” (for lack of better word) where after the first completion for mount, every 1k points after would grant 100 tender. Would still limit the total amount of tender you could get via the “quests” but would give ppl a way to get an extra handful of tender for those last items they really wanted.
They’re counting on players buying the shop bundles for extra tender, in addition to any extra they might offer otherwise.
I mean for sure they want the money grab, but the “battle pass” addition would keep players playing for longer and help make old world viable again as well
Supply and demand.
They will get your money.
It wouldn’t keep anyone past the month they’ve already bought, because or the reset.
It’d be nice if they just let us clear the list every month and get all of them, but the people with no self-control ruined that hope.
100 tendies for 3000g. It’d promote token sales.
Maybe they’ll sell you a monthly battle pass for an extra $15/month that lets you earn additional tenders in-game (but you have to both pay AND play to do it). Blizzard made this shop to harvest money from whales.
Token is above 300,000g right now.
They’re not going to sell you over 10,000 tenders for a token.
Even if you divide it by 10x they probably wouldn’t.
The entire point of the tender being so limited is so that players don’t have to no life it and complete the entire log to get every bit of tender that they can get.
you still wouldnt have to no life it, it would primarly be a source for those of us that wanted a hand few more items but are a few 100 tender off of being able to get them. Like myself currently that wants the lil’ KT pet and the Golem but im sitting at 400 something tender.
Artificial scarcity with extra currency coming to a cash shop near you!
Chaaaaa ching!!
Freeze one and wait for the one you want to come around again; the FOMO is way off the scales with this talk of paying for tenders and battle passes, they are not needed. Seems like every Sunday / Monday we have the usual suspects regurgitating the speel that buying tenders or battle pass will save the game. Guess what, it Won’t.
I think the way they would go about it is 100 tokens per 100k gold or something like that. Would be a good gold sink imo since i do think gold is still a little inflated. Imo i havent really had a need to spend gold lately (if they had not gotten rid off the brutosaur mount off the vendor i wouldnt be saying this)
I honestly wouldnt mind that they add some kind of extended way to get more coins, especially if they are going to put higher prices on everything.
You say that you “wouldn’t have to” no life it, but many would still feel the need to. If not for stuff in this months catalogue, then for stuff in the next. You give people a chance to grind out as much as they can, and they will.
Case in point, artifact weapons AP. Artifact knowledge meant it wasn’t efficient to grind out AP, since next week you could get all that AP you spent hours grinding a lot faster. That was the idea, anyway. You didn’t have to no life AP because the weekly Artifact Knowledge made it worth a lot less to. But, of course, a lot of people still no lifed it and grinded it out with things like Maw of Souls dungeon spam. Why? Because they could get ahead of the curve doing so, and no one wanted to fall behind on AP.
This is the same thing. If they can get extra tender by no lifing it and get ahead of the curve, they will. And before you say it’s different because AP is power and tender is cosmetics, doesn’t matter. All that means is that it’ll be a different subset of people doing it. People who wanted to minmax no lifed AP. People who want to collect everything would no life tenders.
