Extra hair colours for Voidelf

The guy who says delete void elves or delete retail.

You’re free to have the opinion that void elves shouldn’t exist, I share the same opinion.

However limiting people who like void elves is just wrong. Just because someone else likes void elves does not make them bad people, and I don’t think limiting their hair colors to protect your feelings does you any justice either.

Mkay, whatever helps you sleep at night.

You’re not limited BEs are available to everyone.

More options for VEs shouldn’t equate to their secondary theme that is BEs main theme like Shadina pointed out.

Why are you trying to make it seem like people want to “limit” VE players, you have two visual themes as is minus one visual factor of hair, and arguably should be asking for more Void options :hugs:

I don’t think anyone has the intent on limiting people who like void elves. I would be the first person to jump up and down with joy if void elves received actual customization befitting void elves as a people / theme. Give them old god customization, extra tendrils, darker skin tones, void patches, influences from other void-like aberrations and residents of the great dark. Give them qiraji digits / claws, give them sha patches and inky additions to the hair, give them faceless options such as half the mouth missing, etc.

What you’re defending is people who would seek to butcher void elves, and make them nothing other than helf-lite, which is the complete opposite of “liking void elves”. It’s aiming to violently turn them into something they’re not. And as someone who loves void elves, I would be irritated beyond words if that happened.

Don’t mind me, only here to watch the bickering of Mortals for my personal amusement.
Go on and entertain your True Dark Lady. :smirk:

No it’s not wrong.
The visual distinction between the two need to be there, or they just should have become a neutral race like pandaren and let the player choose the faction.
That’s never going to happen.
Void elves are not blood elves, at least anymore, as the story supposedly tells us. So looking like a blood elf is wrong.
Give them only void options at best.
Anything that mirrors the blood elf model more, just subtracts from the blood elves themselves.
You want customization - stick to your own void elf theme.

I want more void specific customization as well, but nowhere is it stated in lore or otherwise that they must be locked into these or that it violently turns them into something they’re not if they aren’t.

That’s fine, I respect your opinion but I disagree, I think neutral options fit well on void elves as well.

Very much this.

From a thematic point, yes it does. Blizzard didn’t want to give the Alliance high elves. They made that clear when they said no, not once, but twice. And people continued to complain. Void elves were given and meant to be a clear distinction. Another group of people touched by magic in a way that changed them permanently. And that’s okay.

Then they backtracked because people couldn’t stop complaining about it and Blizz just caved. Removing the void elf theme from void elves is a direct example of butchering them as a people because their racial identity is now gone too. It’d be like making it so worgen didn’t actually have to be in worgen form at all during combat. Thus the worgen form is eliminated, and people just run around as Stormwindian humans with different accents who can turn into wolf versions of druid forms. It’s the same argument, and the same problem.

Again, I love void elves. I have a couple. They tickle a fancy for me because the void is my favorite theme. And then what happened? The void got removed, run over with a bucket of bleach and a big sign that said ‘backpeddle’. People use it for helf-lite. Not because they like the void or void elves as a concept.

Even you just got done saying “I don’t think void elves should exist” meanwhile you’re playing one with helf-options, and zero void identity. You’re another example of that.

It did not, you’re free to continue playing blue void elves.

Why does this bother you? Am I not allowed to make my void elf look like a high elf?

And yes, I feel like void elves have a lazy unimaginative story that was create at the last minute, this is my opinion.
I still think they’re a beautiful race with really nice options though.

Why am I not surprised that you disagree? I can’t prove it, but it seriously sounds like you want both void and blood elf options. To me, it runs very familiar of “I want my high elf”. While playing fake that you want void options too.
While we are at it, just make them a core race too, right? I mean why not, they share the same back story as blood elves do until they hit the void wagon.
Yeah, garbage.
Void elf customizations or nothing.

You can do whatever you want, but you shouldn’t be championing people “who like void elves” when you don’t even like them yourself, and your arguments do not benefit people who like void elves, but people like you who just want more helf options. You’re not defending or arguing for people “who like void elves”. You’re arguing for people who would just make helf-lite.

Don’t argue for a camp you’re not part of. Because as someone who likes void elves, and their identity, I can tell you that what you want and what I want do not line up at all. The people who actually like void elves want customization befitting void elves. Not more helf-lite crap.

Why should VEs be allowed to continue infringing on BEs visual theme?

That’s why it bothers people. And then to turn around and act like it doesn’t or you don’t know what people are talking about despite being in every HE thread I’ve been there too and I’ve seen others and myself on both sides point it out to you. Even people who want more HE options on VEs have pointed it out to you.

Every time a new Void Elf customization thread is created, a new option should be applied to races with the least options.

I do not, blood elves don’t have ownership over all hair colors, last time I checked it was mostly alliance races who had them first.

Yes I like high elf options, that’s what Blizzard intended to do for both void elves and blood elves at the beginning of SL.
And no, I truly wish for more void options as well, you can call me fake all you want.

Mkay, well I disagree on both of these statements.

This makes no sense, I can support void elf players despite not liking the concept of the race, because I know there are people who do.

I can support people who want more neutral options, while also supporting your desire for more void options. Your feelings of “helf-lite crap” are subjective to you.

Nope, back under your bridge fyrebusch, shoo.

it’s literally not my fault that i know better
