Extra drop-down action bars

Can we please have additional action bar spaces that work like Mage portal drop-down menu?

I’d like to have a number of those on top of the action bar slots we already have. I hate having to sift through my profession journal for profession buttons.

Or having to press shift+P then scroll through all my favourite mounts to find the right one…

… or shift+P > scroll through toy journal

… then there are all my portals, different portal cosmetics (like the ones from world events or covenants), portal items (like Wrap of Unity, Coordination, etc…)…

… then there are all my quality of life items like Reeves, Jeeves, Argent Squire (for bank and mail access), Katy Stampwhistle, fishing items,

… and then there are all my normal spells, most of which I have no room to put them because of all the other items I keep on my bar.

Please give us more action bar slots on top of the ones we have and make them all drop-down menus of 10 available item slots each.

This can be an option that can be toggled on and off.

But please give us extra action bar slots that are drop-down menus. Please! I’m begging you!

There like six action bars of twelve slots each accessed by clicking on the little arrows.

Typically for my characters, the main one holds a combat rotation and number 6 has their professions, one or two action spells and the icon for their oversized flying mount. (My priest also has one bar with a healing rotation.)

Is the search box not enough?

Mine are full. See my original post.

I don’t want to keep pressing Shift + P > search for each item name individually EVERY TIME I WANT TO USE AN ITEM…

from my toy box…

… from my mount journal…

… from my professions tab…

… when I also need room on my bars for:

  • Portals

  • Portal items (cloaks, wraps, cosmetic hearths, etc…)

  • Repair bots, Reeves, Jeeves…

  • Katy Stampwhistle

  • Fishing equipment (fishing icon, bobbers, bait…)

  • Nat Pagle Raft

  • Water mounts

  • Underlight Angler as well as my weapon icon so I can switch between them easily

  • all my primary and secondary spells (each class is different)

  • Garrison and extra expansion spells and abilities that you can only hide by downloading and Addon or keeping it in the middle of your screen or… wait for it… putting it in your action bar.

  • Important quality of life toys and items and a whole lot more.

We need more space and additional slots (preferably a number of extra drop-down menus consisting of 10 extra slots each).

I actually agree that I wish we could have custom pop-out action bar buttons.

Being able to put a bunch of mounts on one action bar slot would be amazing. There used to be an addon that could do this, but I don’t think it exists anymore.

Here is something to use in the meantime I guess until Community Council can get them to address it. :man_shrugging:

There’s also https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/floflyout or https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/select

(I’ve been looking since I posted).

Lets you add custom pop out buttons. Gonna have fun configuring that tomorrow.

I was just about to list that first one you have, was looking at the 2 others from the search I did…we probably found the same post

Sounds like this is what you’re looking for:

Thank you all for all the addon suggestions. I’m having a look at them as we speak. I’d still like to see something like my OP implemented at some point down the line (hopefully sooner than later) but I think some of these addons you’ve suggested might help me in the meanwhile.

Much appreciated!

I read your original post.

Here you say you hate having to sift thru your professions journal, shift-P for mounts and shift-P toy journal.

Are you seriously saying you already use 72 slots and need more for professions, mounts and toys?

I mean, although the idea is not to my taste, but I am not against it, I just feel like you may not be using the available resources to their fullest capacity or this in indicative of a different game problem.
