It would probably take a little bit of the sting out of it if they acknowledged the delays.
They just edit the banner language with the new time, which implies it was always scheduled for that time.
However, we know that it is a delay since it has changed multiple times throughout the day.
Acknowledging it as a delay with a simple, “Maintenance has been extended. We apologize for the inconvenience.” would go a long way, I think.

you realize for some people this actually is their job? What about the 2 weeks prior to this where RWF was going on and liquid was getting shafted by this activity while EU wasn’t getting it, luckily Liquid still came in first but even with the time zone head start NA has EU guilds got more playtime during RWF because of the maintenance. That being said that is their job and blizzard directly affected their work by not being able to do their own.
Its interesting to me that they arent doing these at like 2am in the morning while most players are sleeping?
I always see the posts “LOL devs arent gonna work that early!” Which is odd to me that they people have a misunderstanding of how assigned shifts work…
This is a multi billion dollar company you would think they would have figured this out by now lol…

WHAT the WHAT??? oh boo hoo one RWF team got shafted over the other…Peter please if you will, “WHO THE HELL CARES”??? Oh dear lord I turned into the masco-toxo troll AHHHH ok excuse me now, I need to breathe, go outside and touch grass
It is their livelihood, that’s the point it’s not about them winning or not. If I came into your work and shut it down for weeks so you couldn’t pay your bills would you have the same attitude?

they can take all the time they need im at work till 11pm
Livelihood? This is a game. How other than keeping crazies like myself off the streets does it benefit society??? Get a real job and do something constructive for the greater good of ALL of humanity.
this xpact is barely a month old they have bugs to fix
Its not the addiction part for everyone. It just irks me because after a long week at work…i had a little breathing room to play. That was quickly swallowed up by maintenance. So heres to another 5 days of only getting about 30 minutes in WOOOO!

Yeah, and people used to have to use a modem connected to a phone line. What’s your point?
I truly don’t understand why they refuse to set a larger window of time, if they get done early people are happy (in general) and if they need more time things are already extended. It seems like it would mitigate a lot of this anger and frustration.
The way they keep extending it is just priming people to get mad. Some might think its dumb to complain about maintenance being extended, but at the end of the day Blizz set the expectation. So whether it’s dumb or not, Blizz established the time frame and the fact they keep setting the window of time too short they’re just shooting themselves in the foot at this point.
Everyone has their limit, even game addicts although that limit may be absurdly high. Regardless the industry, this kind of situation causes customer trust to be strained. Personally, idc one way or the other, my life still goes on. However, if this continues there will be even more and more pushback until it snowballs.

This^^^^ I couldve moved my schedule a bit and been able to play more tomorrow. But it fit perfectly today on the schedule they laid out.

This is common sense, they know this as we all do…but here we are once again. So who really is the TROLL here? For the record its not the players.
Dear White Knight,
Thank you for your service in riding in to defend Blizzard. The multi-billion dollar company needs you to defend its honour, and by blindly defending them you are sticking it to the consumers who dare to expect better. You truly are the hero this world needs.
Just one question Mr Sir Knight; what exact “in game issues” do you think they are fixing today, considering all the in-game issues that have existed and been reported multiple times since alpha began are still in the game unfixed - despite there being many, many maintenances since before prepatch, not limited to Tuesdays, including on the weekend.

Where i live, the maintenance starts at 5PM (right when i finish work), so i literally don’t get to play at all every Tuesday…

It’s also kind of amplified due to the fact it’s on reset day. I know that it has to happen this way, but people have been working all week long to fill out those bingo vault cards and want to see if they won.
So it’s a pain point already for the service to be down, it’s another one that you are adding in the anticipation for rewards, and salt in the wound when it gets delayed further.

Do you want to win a customer/player, or win an argument?! Simply, Blizzard needs to start being a HERO and “over promise and underdeliver”! Example: Tuesday maintenance NOT listed as 2 hours, then changed to 3 hours, then changed to 4 hours, etc., but listed as 4 hours and servers come up in less time! A simple solution to provide better experience on maintenance day, LOL!
What kind of pro Russia propaganda is this? There’s no addiction. People from all over the world play this game. In the Americas you have something like 8 time zones. In this day and age it is pure incompetence to have maintenance for 2 hours let alone 5. If you’ve been given a promise by a company and the company fails to deliver on the promise and continues to fail to deliver over an extended amount of time then anything but complaining is being a bootlicker.
Go lick those boots, kid.
