Extended maintenance.. again

This is literal indie company behavior, maintenance is planned and we are given notice and then right before servers come back up they extend it.

I wish I could just extend the deadlines at my job without receiving any negative repercussions.

These workers that extend this BS need put on PIPs and FIRED if they don’t fix this!!!

This BS takes away from the game every Tuesday I’ve really had it.

We should be refunded every week maintenance is extended with 0.25 of a dinar token.

I’ve seen it mentioned a couple times now over the last month that EU doesn’t see these long maintenance windows which does point to them being caused by needing extra time to test patches on live servers. Pretty sad that Microsoft feels the need to cut corners so drastically like that where they can’t even do proper quality assurance testing beforehand but at least it explains what has been happening over the last 6 months.

The days of 1 hour regular maintenance are long gone

Yeah, they really jumped the shark on this expansion release. I’d have preferred they pushed back release a few weeks or even months over this. This very obviously was not ready for a proper release, and this “extended maintenance” is just them trying to hide that they’re having to patch in stuff they didn’t have time to add before it was released.

At this point, they’re just being dishonest in calling this extended maintenance. Just tell it like it is, because we’re not stupid. We know what’s going on, and you’re only making yourselves look bad by lying about what you’re doing.

lol wut. Username is perfect for having a circular argument over this at least but TWW is definitely not setting any new precedents for frequency nor length of maintenances.

This is just false.

Nevermind that they’re sitting here trolling the forums, which is an even bigger waste of time.

Do we know why it’s been extended again? Seriously it used to be one hour for maintenance a majority of of Tuesdays and now why are we getting 4 hours on a day where no new content still isn’t coming out. Blizz needs to fix their stuff. Lately since microsoft took over I have noticed this bs is getting worse.

Let’s face it, they’re not exactly hiring the best and the brightest anymore. Anyone with a pulse qualifies now. Pronouns are extra credit.

Weekly Maintenance is necessary. I don’t mind that it happens during times I like to play on Tuesdays. My issue is them constantly extending maintenance, and there are still so many issues in the game that are not being fixed. Every week I put in another bug report to Blizzard for the same things over and over, which have not been addressed. Every week we get extended maintenace and those bugs are still present.

Only THEY can tell YOU that you’re wasting your time. Blizzard can do no wrong and they’ll spend the whole day yelling that.

I don’t post on the forums usually, but I had to log in to say “well done”. You made me laugh out loud.

Would you like them to refund the 8 cents you lost?

Honestly they need to just say it if they’re gonna be down for 4 hours. It’s better to overestimate than underestimate.

This.
It’s been a staple at my current job that we expect to put in 40+ hrs a week. If we get stuff done on time and have no problems then we usually dip out around 36-38hrs and still get paid for 40. People are generally happier if they are told to expect the worst and then you give them something better. Expecting the better and getting handed the worst every week gets old and causes burnout in employees and in this case gamers.
I mean, I’m at work so the reset being extended doesn’t affect me directly. I get the reasoning for people to be frustrated by it.

Yeah, I would when the hours are piling up every week. I’d be fired if I let my schedule become this insane. I work at night, so this directly affects my game time as well.

I know it says gameplay will be available at 11:00. Odds are that once 11:00 gets close they change it to 12:00… 1:00… 2:00… next week.

Easy there, boot licker.

Same I’m on lunch atm but I’m always at work during maintenance— well 99% of the time anyway.

The meltdowns are entertaining though.
