imo, shattering throw needs to be updated to also work against other class immunities/shields…
So many new classes and spells have been introduced to wow since the original inception of Shattering Throw, and even me who doesn’t have/play a warrior, thinks it should also work against other classes besides just Paladin Bubble and Mage’s Ice Block… it should also work against a Hunter’s Turtle, and possibly even work against Monk’s Bubble, Priest shield, DK’s shell, Shaman’s earth shield, etc, essentially it should break any shield/immunity, no matter what class/spec…
With the sorry state that Warriors are in atm, it’s the least you can do.
those are just random examples, just saying shattering throw should work against any and all shields (including absorbs) and immunities. regardless of what type, or what they do or if normal attacks can remove them.
In otherwords, any spell at all that shields a player from damage should be breakable by shattering throw.
It does. Turtle isn’t an immunity any more than DBTS is. Won’t save you from anything that’s already applied.
I have nothing but sarcastic answers to this so let’s just say, hypothetically, that if you use a 3min CD to remove power word: shield, you’re going to get exactly what you deserve.
regardless of what it is… turtle shell should be removed by shattering throw. quit trying hard to get technical, especially with hypotheticals such as priest shield, because the better thing to use shattering throw against a priest would be Power Word: Barrier. it’s literally a giant shield prime for shattering, visually an oversized paly bubble.
Anyways the point remains, shattering throw should be the be all and end all against any shield, regardless if the shield only shields against 100 damage, 10,000 damage, or blocks all damage. …and what warriors choose to waste their 3 min cd on is what separates the good from the bad players, just like any other long CD spell, all that matters is they have the choice.
Unless you somehow believe that Shattering Throw should end DBTS, Evasion, and the whole suite of avoidance cooldowns (which would be rather silly) I don’t understand what on earth you’re arguing about at this point.
