That’s a different topic than the way you phrased the thread. No one would disagree with you about that.
I pug almost every day and have been an Hpal main all expansion (with the exception of this season). I notice you are playing necrolord. May I suggest you try dropping mad paragon for shadowbreaker, dawn of the sun. Synergy with necrolords already juiced LOD’s will be so much healing your head will spin. As with the nature of the tier, the additional people hit by LOD passively will Increase your wings uptime and almost make
Up for the loss of damage from dropping mad paragon. I think you will be pleasantly Surprised!
It took a lot for me to even consider dropping mad paragon because of how much I wanted to do damage, but when I ultimately made the switch I never looked back. The healing and wings up time is absurd, and the damage is still there. If beacon, WOG on the tank, and LOD isn’t topping people off over and over again then something is severely wrong with the tank.
Because you will be in wings so often you will usually have either hammer of wrath, vanquishera hammer, judgement, or holy
Shock all for ranged orbs. You will RARELY have no buttons to kill them, just make sure you are using the holy power with LOD’s and not over capping it or else it defeats the purpose
Thats more due to laziness of my part more then anything, I played more Hpal season 1/2 when Ashen was big, but I might try it out cause quite a few have recommended it now
I think its a group mechanic, shaman, hunters, warriors, DH, rogue, moonkins all can help out!
But i hate on my tank chasing all of them as no one else bothers and just lets them explode because of posts like this.
A post like this breeds the toxic behaviour for people to ignore them and assume the healer will get them.
It is a healer/Tank mech 99% of the time.
I dont want the dps in my group taking time away from either bosses or a pull to get explosives they dont need to be bothering with.
But you want the Tank running around dragging mobs out of your AOE to hit them ignoring his defensives and exposing his back to mobs to crit?
There needs to be a good balance with the group!
Orbs spawn where the mobs are so the tank doesn’t have to run out of friendly AoE. Strafing also prevents being hit in the “back”.
Tank and healer should be able to get almost all of the orbs depending on pull size.

Yeah, last season I didn’t even switch out of PVP gear/talents when I did keys on my Hpal because of how crazy the healing from LoD procs were. Could literaoly top an entire group from 50% with a Vanq Hammer proc. Lol
