Everlook is especially popular for attempting to buy the rare runecloth bag recipe for tailors. It’s a desirable recipe, but I’m not allowed to buy it according to numerous players of the opposing faction. Thanks to the awkwardly simple exploitation guards simply won’t defend me and they’ll especially attack me if I fight back unless I break rules myself which I won’t.
Booty Bay is another example, except there’s no competition. Those are just people who want to grief while Everlook players are greedy.
Are there any official statements regarding this or am I just never allowed to buy a recipe from a vendor thanks to exploits?
Regardless of consequences for exploiting the game, it’s still unjustified. I’ve left a character there to occasionally check the vendor. Whether it’s 3pm server time or 3am, there is someone usually ready to attack me upon logging in. Sure, I can report players, and I do, but checking the vendor hours later gives me the same result. When one person is finally asleep, another is there ready to attack me for trying to get a recipe.
