Exploitative behavior for Herbalism

We have controls on exploitative behavior for instance farming/boosting. It’s time to put it on Black Lotus.

24 hour: 1 black lotus
1 week: 5 black lotus

What about the other 2 days? You can’t pick them on weekends?

Max 5 a week. Pick on what ever days you want.

Add boosting to the list.

So you got out farmed?

Congratulations, I also get out farmed.

This will likely increase lotus prices, having the opposite effect of what you’re looking for.

Since Blizzard made server populations way bigger than vanilla, they should just increase respawn times and/or spawn locations by an appropriate proportion, based on server population. They did increase lotus spawn rates, but it wasn’t enough, proportionate to population.

They can do it with mobs (dynamic respawn), which gives an advantage to skinning. I’m sure they could just as easily do it with other resources. Why they don’t is beyond me. They’re too afraid of the #nochanges crowd probably. And just lazy.

Playing the game as designed (herbing lotus) is not negatively exploiting anything.

Stop trying to control people because you are failing yourself. Focus on inner improvements and come to terms with the fact that people who are more intelligent and motivated than you are better.

They would just level more characters to get 10/15/20 whatever a week. I dont even know how you could do it at the per account level, but I dont code for a reason.

If you want it changed, why not just put it in higher level herbs like every other expansion? Why complicate things?

How about we change it so that every time you login, you get a participation Lotus mailed to you.

Gathering is a competition, part of this strategy game. It is not a sideline “give everyone what they need” thing, while the real game is raiding…or pvp…or mythic…or BGs…or whatever you focus on playing.

I have spent months in WoW doing nothing but gathering. In BFA, I leveled 3 characters from 110 to 120 entirely by gathering. It is very much a competition, and a strategy game. Where to look, what time of day to run, etc. etc. – there are many strategies.

Asking Blizzard to change the rules so that YOU can do better in this competition is silly. It’s just “make it easier for me to win”. Imagine if a whole lot of players posted threads demanding that battlegrounds changed to make it easier for Horde, or for PUGs, or for…oh wait…

They already increase the spawn rates dynamically across all servers…

You just aren’t hustling hard enough

I think if they stopped the herbs from rendering or showing up on the mini map when using eagle eye or far sight it would mostly fix the problem.

I’ve picked 2 in a day on multiple occasions. Have never exploited.

So that’s gonna be a no.

Just bring on tbc
