Exploit Early, Exploit Often!

Fun fact: you’re always responsible for erroneously filing your taxes, even if you hire it out. If you mean the tax office (IE: IRS) somehow cut you an extra 5 grand (not even sure this could happen) then yes that is a very simple case of returning the money…although knowing the IRS you’d actually have to pay them back interest.

It’s actually never a case of may, you just have to. You are not entitled to any money you do not have a genuine belief to be yours. There are many instances where someone in a transaction inputs the wrong info and causes someone else to get money deposited into their account, and if those people try to spend it or run off with it they are charged accordingly.

Your analogy holds up fine though, Blizzard isn’t punishing people because the bug doesn’t appear to be understood well enough that people knew how to duplicate it so they’re just taking it away and there was never anything taken so there isn’t any malicious use by the players either. They just got it and used it cause they had it.

I agree, and never said you weren’t. I said you weren’t liable for the tax office’s mistakes, in the same way that a player is not liable if they are inadvertently affected by a bug. In both circumstances corrective action may be necessary, but not adverse action.

Yeah, that’s where the analogy breaks down, because money raised through taxation is public money. But Blizzard could have decided to just leave the mount skills.

basically. in the case of the pvp mount giving this….many of those dudes probably got tired of deleting AV mark mails. they probably got the mount to free up mark space. spend that 50, and now they get some time till they hit 100 and mail gets messed up again.

Lucky them, it turned into a riding skill. and dude that av mail spam gets annoying. a few hours not having must have been nice.

Dude, if this happens I am gonna lose my $hit on this company. And we both know that is likely. “Our bad, but hey we got those three players that shouldn’t have it!” This company has a history of punishing the innocent 7,000 for that one dude that botted that one time.

There’s a decent chance they will ef that up… this is Blizzard, afterall.

I mean, they can’t even fix the AH….

there was a bug where the murloc pet and costume became available for everyone, i got mine, ran some bgs with it.. they shortly after, pulled the items from my bags, and when i put in a ticket they said i never had the item. exploit early and often isnt a thing anymore

You bumped a 5 day old thread… for that?

sorry it was the signature of kaivax on a bluepost.

the projection here is insane. you admit you don’t even have a stake in this yet you’re arguing on the internet over and over about it. Pathetic. I guess you literally have nothing better to do with your time.
