People are now reporting that Blizzard has stealth nerfed the BWL class quest items, which until today were tradable between members of that raid. This means that for those who cleared on Thursday, they were able to provide BiS weapons for their ENTIRE ROSTER of one class off of ONE DROP. Anyone who doesn’t have a raid scheduled for Thursday has a huge disadvantage for the rest of this pathetic phase.
As far as I can tell, we have had no communication about this. Are they going to remove the duped items? Probably not because they’re clearly too incompetent to tell who the “rightful” owner who initially got it was and they’d likely have to remove ALL of them, which wouldn’t feel fair to the members of those raids who have had them drop. Are they going to allow other raids to “catch up” by giving them more copies of these items? Apparently not, since they “fixed” this bug today with no word to the community about it or their solutions to what should be an OBVIOUS bug to test before releasing the phase.
Every raiding guild that cares about parsing or speed clears who did not raid on Thursday (and those who do, but were unlucky with their drops), are now literally weeks behind on itemization.
It’s a sad state when a couple of corrupt Russians running a private server nearly 10 years ago had their act together better than Blizzard.
