People are now reporting that Blizzard has stealth nerfed the BWL class quest items, which until today were tradable between members of that raid. This means that for those who cleared on Thursday, they were able to provide BiS weapons for their ENTIRE ROSTER of one class off of ONE DROP. Anyone who doesn’t have a raid scheduled for Thursday has a huge disadvantage for the rest of this pathetic phase.
As far as I can tell, we have had no communication about this. Are they going to remove the duped items? Probably not because they’re clearly too incompetent to tell who the “rightful” owner who initially got it was and they’d likely have to remove ALL of them, which wouldn’t feel fair to the members of those raids who have had them drop. Are they going to allow other raids to “catch up” by giving them more copies of these items? Apparently not, since they “fixed” this bug today with no word to the community about it or their solutions to what should be an OBVIOUS bug to test before releasing the phase.
Every raiding guild that cares about parsing or speed clears who did not raid on Thursday (and those who do, but were unlucky with their drops), are now literally weeks behind on itemization.
It’s a sad state when a couple of corrupt Russians running a private server nearly 10 years ago had their act together better than Blizzard.
Because the game itself is fun, the mismanagement of those running it is not. Why are you commenting on a post like this if you don’t care about Blizzard giving handouts to some players and not others?
You apparently care about people who don’t want them to exist for some reason.
And parse/speed runs require multiple weeks of attempts for the stars to align for a top outcome sometimes. More weeks of attempts definitely equal better results.
It’s unfortunate for those that this didn’t happen on. A fair response would be to make class quest weapons just a quest you start and do over a lockout or two without drop now that the cats out of the bag. But … come on, the blizzard way is to pull the ladder up from the player base after the exploiters crawled up it.
A disadvantage of not having a bis weapon for weeks more of the phase? There are still people who don’t have MC drops due to poor luck. More weeks of parsing = better chance for high parse.
This is why you play enh, where the class weapon doesn’t exist for you and the legendary that did exist for you became a feral weapon because the devs neglected your 2h spec because it might have been OP in PvP so you are stuck with one singular melee attack in 2024. Personally I’m glad everyone got an epic weapon, sounds like it would be really fun!
lol no, rushing for server first does not equal caring about parse or speed clear time logs.
Anyone who cares about getting gear (see: everyone playing WoW) should care about some people getting handouts that are then blocked for the rest of the server.
Hey so the weapons are not blocked for everyone else on the server. Stop QQ because you don’t have a chance to get said weapons anymore because most likely your raid team isn’t clearing content
